4 College Junior

Campus Resources: LFCC is know for being a smaller school but also a school that is producing successful nurses and other practitioners. That would be the strongest point of LFCC

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: When it comes to being prepared in everything like sports libraries activities and the student center LFCC is excellent at it. They try to do everything they possibly can to help the needs of every individual student.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Overall, LFCC is a great school with a few bumps in the road like any other school. I have found that some of the major programs are more prominent than others and I wish that they could try to even everything out a little more. The relationship among the teachers and students is very good and teachers are more than willing to be as helpful to you as they can.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm a Education major, although i started off undeclared, however as far as I know there is a major here for this particular major however I have not found any information on the major or how good the major is.

3 College Junior

Student Body: The majority of the students at LFCC seemed to be somewhat provocative and degrading at times. I have seen many students who are pregnant or will be soon if they are not careful of what they wear. I get the feeling many of the students do not have high personal opinions of themselves. However, there are a few students who are very hardworking and in tune with what they need to do as students. Theses students are here to get an education and not so much 'show off" the goodies like some other students are. They realize that their classes are important and that they are paying for college.

4 College Junior

Career Services: I had a lot of help when I was signing up for classes and the professors here seem to really understand how stressful it can be. I actually had more help from the people at the college than I did went I went to my gurdians

Online Courses: Although it is really my fault, the workload was almost impossible to keep up with, especially when you are taking four other classes.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The people are different which makes the experience that much more unique.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I struggle with math, but the professors make the appropiate arrangements to make sure I understand the information.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: Always Improving – The campus is always evolving with a new room for academic advising or the plans to lay a foundation for a Student Union building with food, a gym, and more extracurricular resources.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: Well Maintained. While the internet has previously been an issue, aside from an occasional state-wide problem with Blackboard or the VCCS site, resources are well-taken care of and established. Computer labs are easily available, the library is well-stocked, and overall the campus has excellent resources.

4 College Senior

Student Body: Very Diverse Group. The student body at LFCC cover a broad range of ethnicities and socio-economic groups. Most students have jobs, either part or full time, and while there's not as much student involvement as you'd expect at a four year university, there are still around fifteen active student organizations.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Excellent College. LFCC has been an excellent choice. I wasn't originally excited about attending, since I was set on my 4-year, but I fell in love with the school, really got involved, and haven't regretted a thing. The college is great for traditional and non-traditional students, and is a great place to begin your career path especially if you don't know what you want to do.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Fast and Free! As a student, you can print out all course work for free! Because it is a community college, everyone in the county can use it, but they make sure students get priority and the network is very reliable and fast! Wireless access is awesome and you can even rent laptops to use in the library!

College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Wouldn't Know – I only tried applying for FAFSA and already have student loans out, so I am paying out of pocket in full as I go.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Happy to Be Back! I attended a university right out of high school. I thought it was was so great, but then, because it was so expensive, I could not stay there. It took me four years to get back into school and I could not be happier with Lord Fairfax Community College! The falculty is nice, friendly, and helpful and I do not feel like just a number, as I did at the university. I feel like this time around it is a lot easier and wish I went there to begin with!

3 College Senior

Career Services: Haven't Had the Chance – Have not graduated from the college yet. But they do help you a lot looking for work and help you through the transfer process.

5 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Making School Affordable – The financial aid make school affordable. They have low rates and even payment plans. They also have a great amount of scholarships.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Great School – Lord Fairfax has great teachers and they really value education. They are flexible but not too flexible and work around your schedule. The student activities is fun and very creative. But food from the school is expensive and so are the books.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: For the Graduate – I havent seen to much that pertains to post-grad help from this school. So i guess they are not that available.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The Teachers – I found the teachers were very involved and helpfull. They were always eager to assist wherever they could, and seemed to really enjoy the subject they were teaching.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: More Than Just Couslers! My school has wonderful counselors; they are always willing to help. I have never met anyone son nice and willing to be honest and think what is best for me and my future.Their slogan is so true " your future, our focus". My favorite counselor is Named Larry, he has helped me with accommodations for my classes and situational I did not know what to do.

2 College Senior

Student Body: A Big Mix – Mostly folks retraining and a few full time students

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Not Sure – Accounting Classes seem OK. I have not worked in an accountiing shop yet so I am not sure.

2 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Too Expensive – Community College is to expensive. In VA it is over 100 dollars per credit hour.
