4 College Freshman

Computers: The laptops make the use of school so much easier. Organization is so much more easier and not having to pay for printing is pretty sweet too.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: It's a college. Students are going to drink and party. Some more than others, most students are respectful when it comes to the residents halls and following the rules.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Living off-campus is quite convenient. The school even offers college housing for eligible students. The cost of living is fairly cheap and easy.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There is a mall that can be used as a quick getaway for people who do not have sufficient funds to do other activities.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There are about equal number of guys and girls on campus. Most students here do not care about their looks because more than half of the student population wears sweatpants and sweaters.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: As a school, we have a lot of school spirit. We are not the best at sports, but we are good enough to have pride in our school.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are nothing but fast food chains.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The food is not very flavorful. There are not a lot of options to choose from and it gets boring after weeks of the same meals. A lot of food goes to waste because students do not like what is being served or it just looks plain gross. Some of the staff who cook the meals will not even eat what is available because of the same reasons of students. It is either gross or boring.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The professors care a lot about their students. Since it is a smaller university, more one-on-one time is available for students if necessary. The professors and staff allow the students to feel comfortable enough to ask questions in class or during office hours.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The students in the resident halls receive several emails referring to noise complaints and warnings, however nothing is being done about it.The halls are always loud, even past quiet hours and no disciplinary actions are taken.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The health center is always available when needed and the nurses are very helpful. They generally care about their student's well-being and will even send emails checking up on the students. Campus safety is always around when needed. If any student wants an escort to any building, campus safety is always prepared to give one.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: All the residents' advisers are the most sweetest, down to earth people I know. They host ton of events to get their residents to socialize and come together as a community.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Never needed them but have heard of students asking for their assistance

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I was one of those athletes until recently.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Coming from a High School were I am the minority took a little bit to get used to being in the majority with white students.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Not that big on our campus

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: If you now where to find it it is pretty available but no one pressures you to.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The academic scholarship that I have received for all 4 years if I maintain a B average is awesome. My family and I have struggled this year with not being able to finance the whole amount the freshman year.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Professors are very tough but are there is always help when needed.

5 College Freshman

Computers: We get a laptop as freshman and then another one our Junior year to help establish us in our career choice.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: 5 college town makes it a necessity for campus shuttles. We share with the other campuses so we are able to see and talk with other students from other campuses as well. Great for small shopping trips, dinning and movie trips. Price is extremely reasonable - only draw back is the limited route that the shuttles take.

Transportation: Campus is small enough not to need much transportation

Academics: Loras College prepares its graduates to enter the real world, not the world of text books and multiple choice tests. Graduates earn meaningful degrees and find work or continue their education at a high percentage.
