The nightlife at LSE is not much to speak of. The Students' Union organizes all of the social events, which typically take place at the student bar on campus. The main party, called "Crush," happens every Friday. This party is a big deal for freshmen, especially during the first few weeks of school, but it's usually not attended by many upperclassmen. On Wednesday nights, the Athletics Union also has a party that is attended by students who are members of some team on campus—which is most students. Aside from these two events, there are various other parties organized by different clubs which only members of the club tend to go to.
Luckily, the nightlife in London itself is fantastic. There is a pub on almost every street and great clubs all around town. The pubs are more or less the same in terms of the drinks and food they serve, but the clubs vary greatly in both exclusivity and price. There are some clubs that cost £20 to get into and then £20 for every drink. Needless to say, these clubs are usually not frequented by the typical LSE student who is very conscious of spending money. One thing is for certain, however: If you and your friends want to go out on the town, whether it is just to grab a few beers or stay out to all hours of the morning, there is no shortage of places to go.
