3 College Junior

Transportation: There is a trolley for campus on a regular basis and taxi's for town or out of town. Cost isn't too bad and students do get a discount.

Transportation: you can call a taxi and they will take you where you want to go and you can also get the bus on Fridays.

4 Recent Alumnus

Transportation: I commute to Lock Haven every day. Thankfully the shuttle helps me cross campus quickly without having to run to my next class. Traveling around campus is not difficult on foot. If you would like to venture off campus, depending on the area, it can be okay or difficult.

On-campus transportation is available during the daytime. An old-fashioned trolley is used to transport students, faculty, and townies to on-campus buildings and campus stores. Local transportation is very limited, but since Lock Haven is a small town, a lot of places are within walking distance.

In terms of area transportation, there is a taxi service available that gives students a discount when they show their college ID (in addition to their driver's license). Susquehanna Trailways operates a daily bus service and can be reached at (800) 692-6314. All in all, even if you don't have a car, public transportation isn’t much needed in the Lock Haven area because everything is so close.
