4 College Senior

Facilities: All of the student facilities are in great condition and are modern. I do wish there were more areas around campus that were specified for "24 hour quiet." Only the top floor of the library is designated for quiet all the time.

All in all, at Lock Haven, the facilities are located in a safe environment for students. Each dormitory is assigned a maintenance worker and supervisor to look after the building. The Stevenson Library is medium-sized and has a lot to offer students, including two computer labs, different areas in which to study, and any kind of information needed to get work done. There is also a lot of student help and assistance, if needed. The wellness center at Lock Haven is very up-to-date and offers the students a range of activities in which to participate. There is a rock climbing wall, Zumba classes, and different workout routines. However, when it comes to campus entertainment and getting students involved, these areas are lacking. Each year, the same events occur, with barely any improvements or adjustments in keeping students entertained.

Lock Haven needs to work on new facilities and events to draw incoming freshmen and transfer students. Fortunately, the University is starting to move in that direction. The latest Lock Haven construction is the Fairview Suites, which features two-person private and two-person shared suites for 686 residents. Other Fairview amenities include air conditioning, carpeting, Wi-Fi, a lodge-style lounge with fireplace, laundry facilities, and game and multipurpose rooms.
