Academic Experience: My program is Commercial Turf & Grounds Management. My program is awesome because my teachers care so much. They truly want us all to succeed and do what they can to help.

Academic Experience: Registration is very hassle-free because you don't even do it. Your advisor does it for you. Workload appears to be easy in every program but mine.

Online Courses: I'm not sure how to answer this because I'm not certain they even offer online classes. I think they do but I don't know anyone who has taken them.

Facilities: Very plain facilities. Not much of a campus or social life.

Student Body: Barely any women whatsoever. I feel bad for any girls that go here. Not really any cultural diversity either. Honestly it's almost all rednecks.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am an A+ scholarship student, so I pretty much only pay for room and board, and I think its a great deal. It's a quality education and I think their tuition prices are pretty good anyways.

Career Services: The career services are available for graduates for life. They may not be the best, but it's still a nice tool.

Overall Experience: The institution really does care. I think they are victims of being in a small town but I think the small town might be what makes it so great. It forces you to find new friends and try new things. The class sizes are very small and the teachers really are invested in your future. Because it is a technical college it can be very difficult to transfer credits earned there to universities, which is the only reason I might not do it over again. If you are looking for a cheap, quick, quality education, this school is a perfect choice. If you are looking to go here then transfer to a 4 year school, I would think twice.

Campus Resources: I'm not sure how other programs are but my program has it's own personal computer lab with a printer that is accessible to students. It is a very convenient tool and the computers do not ever have problems.

Campus Resources: There is an Activity Center that is nice. 3 basketball courts with a weight room. Library is nice. Librarians are helpful. The libraries movie selection is amazing. They keep it updated and if there is a new movie you want to see, you can just tell the librarians and they might order it for the shelf. As far as campus activities there really are none. It's a small town with a small college. They attempt to do events every now and then but they tend to be a bust.

Academic Flexibility: Because every program has very limited staff, teachers only offer classes at one time frame. This can be difficult if you are a full time employee. They do a good job of scheduling the classes for you where you stay busy and do not have conflicts among your classes. But the schedules can be time consuming. If you have a full time job that has later hours, say, past 4 o clock, you're fine. If you're employment isn't flexible then it can be difficult.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition at LSTC is very cheap for what you get. The average tuition cost for me per semester, including a meal plan and books, was only around $3,500.

Career Services: The Career Service at LSTC is very helpful! When you go to them they will stick with you until they place you in a job. They also offer life time career help so even if you're not attending LSTC anymore, you can still get help with finding a job later on in life.

Campus Resources: The online courses offered at Linn State Technical College are very useful when it comes to getting some classes out of the way. The instructors don't overload you with a ton of work like you would normally get in a physical class. However, they still provide you with enough work to ensure you are learning something from the course.

Some instructors also use videos to help teach their classes which helps quite a bit.

Academic Flexibility: My classes are not flexible at all, and we have class all night. Not only are we graded on attendance, you see your grades online but when the transcript comes out, they are completely different.
