Local Atmosphere: Very nice locals. Not many parties.

Local Atmosphere: We are located in a very small town in rural Tennessee. Naturally, there isn't a lot to do, but there are attractions for students, such as a local movie theatre and mall, plenty of restaurants, and historical landmarks. But if you want a little more excitement, it's just an hour drive to Knoxville or Morristown.

Local Atmosphere: Quiet Area – There is not much going on around Lincoln Memorial University. Middlesboro, Kentucky is the closest shopping area where students get their groceries. There are few places walking distance from campus. There is a Subway, Dollar General, and a gas station. Other than these locations, not much is offered. It is this atmosphere that attracted me to the school in the first place though. If you like the outdoors, this is the school for you. There is not much on city life, but there are plenty of trails for hiking.

Local Atmosphere: The Mountain Scenery Is Amazing, but the School Is Surronded by Small Towns. In order to go any where good to eat you must travel by tunnel under a mountain, and even there the stores aren't any good. The mall is small and the only good thing there is a cheap movie theater. They really need to bring business to build are the school.

Local Atmosphere: Cute Little Town. Nothing to Do. Lincoln Memorial University is perfect for students who want a beautiful campus and escape from the city. But if its parties you are looking for then Harrogate, Tennessee might be the wrong place. It is a cute little town but if you are looking for shopping you are out of luck. If you are looking for food you have the choice of four restaurants and one grocery store. The closest "city" is Middlesboro, Kentucky and coming from a large city myself, there isn't much there either.
