Athletics: Liberty has nearly every sport available to students, whether offered as a club sport or varsity sport. With top sport facilities and training. This includes a large gym, and two huge stadiums on campus. A little too much emphasis is placed on sports.

Off-Campus Dining: Our meal plan helps pay for most off-campus dining and the dining off-campus is usually very good and somewhat cost convenient. Sheets will always be a great place to grab a snack. There is a wide variety of restaurants and cafe's to chose from very close to the University.

Majors: The Nursing program at Liberty University is a rigorous four year program that encourages hard work and effort in their future careers. Professors are excellent and have worked the fields in witch they teach so they have first hand experience in Nursing and they encourage students to work hard and achieve all that they can.

Local Atmosphere: Lynchburg is a very boring place to live, it has no places to hang out, the food tax is incredibly high, and it would not be a place to go walking around at night by yourself.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid process is always an ongoing process because of the steep price of going to Liberty University. students have to constantly look for new scholarships to be able to afforded to go, that is unless the student is well off, but even well off students often have some financial aid. Though it may be an ongoing process there are a multitude of financial aid options that are offered.

Campus Strictness: Liberty University makes a good effort to help the students be respectable adults by having a strict dress code, though some of the polices are out of date for the current youth. Some of the out of date restrictions include: no gauges, men must where pants and collared shirts to class, men must keep hair shorter than their ears, no tank tops, no being out of class dress in education buildings before 4pm even if there is no class. Though the dress code may be good keeping dress appropriate, It goes too far for college students who should be allowed to decide if something is immodest or not on their own.

Off-Campus Housing: I know very little about off-campus living because I desire to stay on campus for most of my college career. However, I have heard many conversations about this and what I hear is that living off-campus is great for those who need a little bit more freedom from a school like Liberty. The availability is not too hard. Many places are open around the city of Lynchburg and are in a pretty convenient location to the school campus. Living off-campus is supposedly much cheaper than on-campus living without taking the account of laundry and electricity. Due to the fact that Liberty is in a college town, it is filled with apartment complexes.

Majors: With the opportunities I have been given at Liberty, I am pleased to say that even as a freshman, I did not dive deep into my degree's core classes; however, I am confident in the Journalism program my school has to offer. I intend on becoming a sports writer and my future seems bright. By the time that I am a senior I would have already completed an internship. I hope that print journalism is still relevant by the time I graduate so I can attain a firm job that a journalism degree can assist me in getting.

4 College Freshman

Majors: The Communication Studies program is excellent and I would recommend Liberty University to anyone who is interested. As a Journalism major, I have spoken with many professionals and can vouch that this university has great plans for the future. Last year I was a freshman and I have already learned so much and can add so much to my resume or itinerary. I picked up plenty of skill sets and put a lot on my plate. Crafts that I never imagined that I would have learned are ones that I stepped into and grew vast interest like the short-film industry and sports broadcasting. One should be excited about the great things happening at this school because it is incredible. Anyone can swiftly learn some hands on techniques and neat practical operations in the desired land that they want to explore.

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining is absolutely perfect because of the variety of selections that are fewer than 5 minutes away from the school. If a student is craving Japanese food, he or she has that luxury of the Hibachi buffet a few minutes down the road. The food off-campus ranges for Southern-style food like Bojangles and Dickies, to other cultured style cuisines as La Carreta, Vinny's, and Olive Garden.

Parking: they have crazy towing rules and the parking sticker is a little pricey. they didnt give the new freshmen or transfers a chance to learn where's where they just started towing. their post office closes at 5 and thats when the parking restrictions end. from 2am-5pm they'll tow. they're crazy about it.

Local Atmosphere: there's always something to do and people who want to do it! from snowflex to football games stuff is always going on. midsemester on though a lot of people who live in Virginia go home and it gets kinda deserted

5 College Freshman

Diversity: They have students from all over the world come to this school. all 50 states are represented there and over 20 countries as well.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: they basically just give you money once you apply and get accepted. you get 600 for books for your first semester of your freshmen year. they will help you if you ask and show that you have tired to find scholarships. they're great about that!

Campus Dining: The food at Liberty has lots of variety and has many different options as far as dining. There's the main dining hall which is pretty good except on sunday nights where they seem to run out of food and on cfaw weekends which is when the food is really really good. there's bistro 71, or bristro for short, which is flat breads which are really good. then there's sub connection which is amazing and is way better than subway could ever be! overall the food is good just stay away from the rot on most sunday nights

College Freshman

Majors: I have not engaged in an internship because I am currently only a freshman at Liberty University.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: The athletics department is one of the best and competitive parts of Liberty University. There are a plethora of sports to choose from and not only are the athletes great but the school has the best support system and fans

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: No matter what time of the year it is, Liberty University will offer certain scholarships for eligible student, lessening the burden of finding aid for school. I appreciate the efforts they make to provide aid but I personally a believe more could be offered.

Parking: In order to park near your dorm, you have to be a certain age and if you are younger you are expected to park in what is known as "the Pit". Nonetheless there was plenty of parking available and if you parked somewhere where you were not supposed to, you would get towed and charge a large bill.

4 College Freshman

Weather: Our campus was well prepared for any weather that came and had the potential to affect the school schedule. Students received text messages and emails immediately when classes were cancelled.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Although there may be drugs and alcohol, it is hidden and virtually impossible to know who due to the nature of the school.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: As a graduate student who has never received any financial aid, I thought the online process was fairly easy, especially with the automatic transferring option through the irs. The information was sent directly to my school, and they are now guiding me through the rest of the process.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Getting into a Health Promotions major is not hard at all, one just needs to declare it. The hard part about it is signing up for classes, some fill up fast and the others are only offered during one semester of the academic year.It is best to plan out your academic career in a couple of years in advance. You also have an academic advisor that can help you plan your classes for the semester.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The police force is very friendly and helpful! Whenever you feel unsafe they willingly drive you back to your dorm. They seem to actually care for Liberty students and engage in conversation with students.

3 College Freshman

Majors: I attend Liberty University, I am in the Health Promotions with CHES, and I enjoy most of the classes so far. The professors are passionate about what they are teaching and they have mastered their material. There are a lot of group projects in my program, which helps us get ready for our jobs in the real world.
