Scholarships: Found myself out of financial assistance and the school never informed me of the changes in the law. Financial Aide did my review every year but never told me I were getting close on funds. Found myself six classes away from graduation and out of financial aide. I have to find a way to come up with 18,000 to finish my degree at Liberty. Have to drop classes and only take one class that I could afford.

Diversity: Everyone seems to get along. Besides they push the Christian side over the secular side.

4 College Senior

Academics: Very difficult courses. They are not going to give you the degree until you have gone through some intense pressure that you have never experienced before. Work hard and you will get it, but if you do not work hard you will be left by the wayside.

Health & Safety: Online student. It would be nice if the questions gave the options for online students.

3 College Senior

Academics: You have your excellent professor and the not so great when it comes up to certain topics.

Majors: The Majors at Liberty are at the top of the line in their respective fields.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: The variety of majors at Liberty is helpful. The professors are very helpful as well.

Campus Housing: It depends on where you stay. Main Campus is similar to most other schools' campus housing, but East Campus resembles an apartment-style set up.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: People in the Lyrnchburg area are very friendly. Lots to do on campus with music fests and more.

Transportation: Public transportation is pretty good! There are buses everywhere and they run all the time. The only time that transportation gets a little hasty is after like ten and then there is a bit of a wait for the buses. However if you really need a ride or feel unsafe you can call campus police!

Parking: Parking on campus can be a nightmare. It's important to arrive early if you want to find a good parking space. There are tons of lots to park at, the walking distance is just a little far. But when you take the size of our school and the amount of people into consideration its pretty good.

Scholarships: I received a decent amount of financial aid and it was actually easier than I thought it would be. I suggest making regular in person appointments to make sure everything is running smoothly. Also the earlier you start your search for scholarships, grants and aid the better. The people that I spoke with were pretty understanding. It's important to just talk to a representative in either financial aid, the student advocate office or in student accounts and just tell them whats going on. They will try their hardest to help you!

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe on Liberty's campus. It's really big but it also feels comfortable and small. Campus security is present but not over bearing!

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: Liberty has the best of the best of most everything minus it's dependable WiFi lol. But overall it is more impressive than other schools. The school has a saying that "if its christian it should be better." So that's what they try to do.

Campus Housing: Living on campus at Liberty is awesome! As a freshman, you live on a hall with about 60 to 70 other people. People are very friendly and welcoming. Everyone usually becomes very close living on the hall and student leadership works to build dorm unity. The only downsides are that some of the dorms are older and you share a room with two other people. Though, the school is building new dorms that will be used in a year or two. From the pictures I have seen and things I have heard, these dorms are supposed to be very nice.

Diversity: While Liberty is very diverse ethnically and by economic background, there is little diversity when it comes to other topics. Of course being a Christian university results in less diversity when it comes to political beliefs, religion or sexual orientation.

Diversity: You know what you are getting into if you apply for Libery University. Its not hidden message. Its a Christ centered campus. I go to Liberty Online and it comes through. I don't have much knowledge of the on campus life.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Christ-centered school atmosphere; most people are nice and friendly

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Close proximity to school; not too expensive. Most of the options require you to have a roommate or share apartment

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: Several housing options, but rules are strictly enforced. No oncampus housing for grad students

2 College Senior

Transportation: No reliable public transportation, besides shuttle

3 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather is kind of moody and the city is typically labelled 'Drenchburg' because it rains so often. However, it's usually fair and nice outside

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There's not really a drug scene at Liberty as far as I know. The rules are pretty strict on being a no-drug or drinking policy, so you're not likely to see any drugs around.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There's a lot of easy fast food places around Liberty to get to, like Sonic and Taco Bell, etc. There's good variety from Osaka's, a really great shop with good japanese food, to Buffalo Wild Wings to Olive Garden. The off-campus food places aren't that expensive, too.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Liberty provides a lot of scholarships to the average student with a decent gpa.
most of the tuition i had to pay was taken care of by the liberty scholarships and by the fasfa, the rest that i have to pay is manageable for the average person.
