College Junior

Academics: I have not experienced the academics as this will be my first semester attending this Liberty Online School.

College Junior

Computers: I am online student I di not have access to the computers as I live Florida.

Academics: I have applied to other colleges that are 100% online; however, the staff at Liberty were so polite and helpful for my preadmission process. Also, their demeanor had been Christ centered and I felt comfortable to speak with staff at any given time during the day they had the answer, and if the staff member I was speaking to did not they would get me the correct answer.

Campus Strictness: I love the fact that Liberty University has very high standards for its students that attend residential classes. Parent don't ever have to worry about casual hook-ups, drugs, alcohol or even smoking around their children as none of it is permitted here at this school. No person is perfect and if someone wants something bad enough they are bound to find it, but Liberty does everything in its power to keep the campus smoke, drug, alcohol and casual sex free.

Guys & Girls: I have to express as an older student how well dressed and attractive the guys/girls are here at Liberty University. They definitely take pride in their appearance, which I believe brings about a better attitude about themselves and a stronger work ethic. There is a dress code on campus and I have not seen in my three years here at this school any person breaking the dress code.

Drug Safety: I have been attending Liberty University for three years now and I have not heard or seen anything about anyone using drugs. I have spoken to the Liberty University police before and have posed the drugs/alcohol question to them and they honestly told me that is not an issue here at this school. The worst they see is freshman out after curfew.

Local Atmosphere: small town feel coupled with a small downtown/inner city area. beautiful scenery from the mountains to the James River. Lynchburg is a very cool place.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of restaurants or grocery stores to chose from. Anything that you can find in a regular sized town, as well as a few local gems. Many of the restaurants accept flames cash with is included with out meal plan.

Diversity: There are many different countries, ethnicities, languages, and races represented at my school. We even have global awareness weeks where all of our international students get to show off they're nation's pride and hold student events to raise awareness of the goings on in their countries.

Parking: Parking is really hard to come by at Liberty. Certain dorms don't even have their own parking lots, so some people have to park clear across campus as well as pay a lot for a parking pass in the first place. All good parking is reserved for off campus students, which is good, but it makes those that live on campus have to park really far from there dorms. Also, there are constantly events going on, where certain lots close and you can't park there. The school will issue out an email stating this up to like 3 hours before they'll tow, which is not reasonable at all. And they tow all the time...

Weather: When the weather is nice, everything is gorgeous. However, it rains all the time! When a rainy day comes, you know that you won't see the sun for the next week and it makes living there slightly depressing sometimes.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are many off campus places to dine that accept flames cash which is included with our meal plans.

5 College Junior

Academics: I am an online student and I love Liberty University. What mostly impressed me is that they are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in no matter the costs. They are their to help you in any way that they can in a christ like manner.

5 College Senior

Majors: I enjoy the classes Iam taking. I am a online student, any time I have called and needed to speak with anyone they are very Christ like. My teacher have been very understanding, with all the trials that I have been through, while being a missionary in Nigeria, and have gave me help and plenty of chances. I believe if I can jst make it through, to my bachelors, with financial help, in scholarships and grants, that it may get hard, but it will be better..with the Lord as my strength.

Academics: The Professors at Liberty are very educated. I find most to be very witty and wise. You can tell the profs. love the subject they're teaching and when the teacher is engaging it makes the subject that much more enjoyable.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: I'd say Liberty is a melting pot of cultures. I remember my college dictionary (college board 2011) said >70% of the student body was out of state. I had friends from all over the U.S. From Cali to my home state, Virginia. The international scene is also very evident. One of my favorite things about liberty is the diversity it brings.

College Sophomore

Academics: This is the first year that I will be taking core classes for my major. I took mostly Gen-eds my first year.

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: The drug scene at Liberty is basically nonexistent. If you're caught using drugs the school will either reprimand you with fines or expel you depending on the individual. So drugs aren't a hot topic around campus. However if you search deep enough you will find that there are a small population of people on campus who do partake in drinking and using drugs. I haven't ran into anyone that uses any hard drugs and by that I mean anything that is considered beyond marijuana. I consider it to be the first drug you try that doesn't include alcohol. But once again you have to really dig deep to try to find it and if you wanna be a part of the community. So if you're trying to avoid the drug scene, Liberty University is an exceptional place to do that.

5 College Sophomore

Computers: Top noch Macs computers and Labs. I have learned so much about Excel

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: At liberty they are very strict on there policies and even alcohol is very limited.

1 College Senior

Campus Dining: Reber Thomas Dining Hall AKA " The Rot" has to be one of the worst places to eat on campus. The meat is always questionable and you always leave the dining hall with a stomach ache. I do not recommend it.

3 College Senior

Academics: I think Liberty does a great job in assisting students through their registration process. They definitely equip you with the information you need to know before you begin taking classes at the university.

2 College Senior

Academics: Psychology is a very popular degree within the student body. I believe the workload is fair and the curriculum is great but there are not many opportunities to get engaged with other psychology students and professors outside of the classroom.

3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Lynchburg is a nice place to live and there are definitely things to do , like going to the dollar theater , bowling, snowboarding/skiing and salsa dancing on Friday nights but the only down fall is that many of these places do not stay open very late.

3 College Senior

Athletics: I think the school is very involved with athletics but they are not obssesed.
