5 College Sophomore

Weather: Located in central Virginia, summers are hot and winters are cold.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Sometimes the internet can be slow and students are limited to 40GB of data a month. Students may purchase additional gigs for a small fee.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: With students from all 50 states and over 90 countries, Liberty's campus is buzzing with diversity. However, as a conservative Christian school, most students share the same worldview.

Campus Housing: Most housing options have 3 roommates to a room.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Liberty maintains a strict honor code. If you have trouble with rules or respecting authority, LU may not be the school for you.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Keep in mind that Liberty is located in a small rural town - not a big bustling city. The nearest large city is around 45 minutes away.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Once you are 21 years old, you may move off campus. There are a lot of options near campus and the rates are great! Students may also live with family or obtain a waiver to live off campus for financial reasons.

2 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Because of curfew rules for on-campus students, Liberty has a less than stellar nightlife.

5 College Sophomore

Transportation: Liberty has a partnership with the local bus company so there is always a bus taking you where you need to go! Whether it is around the 7,000 acre campus or a near-by apartment your ride is free as an LU student.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I have not held an internship yet. Some degrees require one before graduation while others don't. The school will help you land an internship and apply it for credit.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: With over 350 areas of study both residential and online, Liberty is a diverse melting pot of majors and academic interests. Nursing, business, and religion are the largest areas of study.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Liberty hosts 20 NCAA Division I athletic teams. From football to soccer, Liberty is an exciting athletic environment. Intramural sports are also an important part of the student life on campus. There are many leagues and a lot of students participate.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining options are great. There are a lot of options near the school. Many locations even accept Flames Cash (dollars associated to your student account for meals)

Academics: Workload is not overly difficult. It is tough, but attainable if you are willing to put the work in. If you want it, you can reach for the stars. You will get what you put into it. There are good options for study abroad and each year they add more and more trips and options.

Academics: I'm studying International Relations: Strategic Intelligence. The professors are all ex Intel officers with real life experience. They are really helpful ad have given me a greater focus and an excellent look into the field with which I will oneday work. I am very well satisfied. I admit there is a piece of me that will be sad to leave.

Overall Experience: This school has been an excellent experience. I could not be happier, and I would highly recommend this school to anyone. It is growing in so many ways, and it's name bares a lot of weight, making future work easier to get. You have to work for your grades, but you can definitely have an awesome college life, do some clean stupid fun. Live the high life, but when you finish have direction, and learn more than just college. You learn life. That is highly valuable.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Safety is not an issue. Not worried about a girl chilin on her own at night on campus. It is well lit, and there is a good presence of a police force and Country boys.

1 College Senior

Parking: Parking sucks!! They are supposedly working on a parking garage, but as of now we all are parking in the middle of nowhere, all the good parking is under construction or being stripped for a new building.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: It's alright. The food is nothing special, and we all are looking forward to home cooked meals. If you live off campus you fare alright, but the food on campus is kinda so so.

College Senior

Greek Life: There is little knowledge of such. Not really a big thing.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: I've never really had much of an issue with the police force on campus. Pretty chill people for the most part. With there being rules against the party scene, there isn't much of an issue of having to deal with sick, wasted students. No loud parties.
Wanna do that, you gotta get out of town visit VTech. Or get off campus.

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: It's neigh impossible to bring that crap on campus. There are very few students who get it on campus. But there is a party scene off campus. Not Rutgers status by any means. But it exist if you know where to look.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Being from NYC there really isn't much in the way of diversity. A lot of fast/comfort foods. Not gonna get Spaniard, Cuban, German, Irish Pubs, or Brazilian foods. But it is slowly getting better. You get the Chinese, some Japanese, but it's mainly greasy spoon with some Olive Garden and Bdubs.

4 College Senior

Transportation: School transportation is excellent. There are bus stops everywhere and they run fairly in sync with class times. The school also has a bus route that will take you to the main shopping centers/mall, and the rest is within walking distance for the most part. Downtown can be reached by your own car or that of a friends.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: East is really nice, as is the Annex, and they are building new dorms which are supposed to be state of the art. You get what you pay for. The only thing that really sucks is parking.
