Academics: Im currently under the Helms school of Government studying Criminal Justice. All the professors I have encountered online and residentially have been extremely knowledgeable in their field of study. No matter how big or small your class is the professors make an effort to know each and every student on more of a personal level.

Scholarships: I have never had a problem. I've been attending since 2013, and I have never had a problem contacting the Financial Aid officer, whether it be by phone or email, and getting an answer to a question. Furthermore, the staff is actually, excited to talk with you and help. A refreshing change over my last school.

Diversity: Being a Christian College makes it difficult for one to experience rejection of any kind.

Greek Life: I'm not aware of any Greek life on our campus.

Nightlife: i haven't been to any parties this year so i dont know the party scene

Local Atmosphere: I love how everyone is really friendly and nice to me

Diversity: Given that it's a Christian school, most people that attend are, or claim to be, Christians. There are a lot of international students. Political diversity is disappointingly low, however: most people are either Republican or hardcore Republican. There are a few libertarians trying to educate them, though.

Off-Campus Dining: Cookout: 3 minutes away. Panera and Sheetz: 30 seconds away (right at the end of the tunnel under the railroad tracks). Domino's delivers until 2 AM, and the White Hart Cafe in downtown Lynchburg is where it's at.

Campus Housing: With dorms, you'd better know exactly where you want to live for the next two semesters or it's gonna suck to be you. You can get lucky like I did and find a room very close to the academic buildings, or you can draw the short straw and have to take the bus to class. Proximity to the academic buildings and dining hall (in descending order): The Hill, the Commons, The Circle, the Quads, South Tower (girls only), East Campus, Annex I and II. Some places on East Campus would only be a 10-minute walk, but others would be closer to 30 minutes--but the bus helps. The Annex is by far the worst place to live as far as proximity is concerned: Annex I and II are hotels about 15 minutes from campus that the University bought years ago. Sleep through your alarm and you could miss half of your classes. In contrast, last year I was in a now-decommissioned Circle dorm about as far away as the Commons, and I could make it to class on time if I hit snooze too many times and only became coherent 5 minutes before class started. Another warning about the Annex: one day we were hit with a snowstorm, and all of the bus lines had to shut down. We ended up canceling classes for two days straight, and a friend of a friend who lived at the Annex was stuck on Main Campus the whole time because she hadn't been able to catch the last bus.
