Campus Dining: Good...But Could Be Better – The dining on the campus is good with different varieties of places to eat. With dining areas in our courtyard and clubhouse, and our student center. Also with the diner built right on campus also. The cafeteria food has great selections but the seasoning on the food could be better to better set that at home cooking feeling they are trying to resemble.

Local Atmosphere: A Town of Peace – Lynchburg is a small town making it accessible for getting down to studying for me. It has tons of eateries near and around the campus making it also a family oriented town or making a great close social building opportunity.

4 College Junior

Weather: The weather does not really affect my campus experience. Of course I dont like bad weather, but it doesn't affect me because I drive. The people on campus that walk have the option to catch the many buses provided so weather isnt a big deal.

3 College Junior

Parking: Parking is decent on campus but it could be better. Liberty allows for anyone to drive with the propper documents reguardless of their classification, so campus is a little crowded with all the people driving. Even with that being said, there are many parking lots to accomodate everyone. The only problem is the distance from the buildings that people would have to walk to get to their classes from the lots.

Campus Strictness: School Policies – I love my school but they are very strick with many of their rules and regulations. Being a christian conservative school, there is a strick curfew that we must abide by. Also there is a strick dress code that mainly affects females but there are rules that affect males like no ear rings, and also having to wear a collared shirt to class. I dont mind these rules but many people on campus to do voice their opinion on these things.

Scholarships: Start Applying Early – Liberty can be expensive, but they try to give students as much finanial aid as possible. They give you money for books the first year and a scholarship just for applying early. And their academic scholarships are pretty good if you can keep good grades. They also accept most outside scholarships so apply to every one you can find.

Transportation: Use the Buses – If you don't have a car on campus, the buses are the best way to go. LU has a bus system that will take you to the main spots around town such as the stores or the mall. If you want to go downtown though, you pretty much just have to find somebody with a car willing to take you. You can always walk if you're staying close to campus, but that can be a hassle.

Local Atmosphere: Lynchburg is a mid-sizd city with not much to offer. If you're looking to party, this is not a good place for you. But the river and the mountains make for some great scenery if that's what youre in to.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: On Campus Activities – Well equipped exercise facility and man-made ski slope on campus to keep you busy.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments in Lynchburg – Very few apartments advertised. Liberty University offers a website to register for apartment/roommate searching.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Fast Foods – Personal and friendly with regular costumers. Good Service and food

Parking: Parking is terrible here. They are very quick to tow your car. Its is very hard to find parking spaces and the walk from the lot is far.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: On Campus – The dorms are great to live a lot of space and easy to access. On campus there is not really much to do at night or anytime really. Cost are starting to go off so its best to move off campus. Housing process easy to do and takes little time at all. Leaving on campus experience really depends on your RA

Academics: I love every part of Accounting. My professor is very willing to help us. She will stop teaching to make sure we are understanding a chapter before going on.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Liberty University athletic program is booming in a great direction. Our athletes are hard working on the field and academically in school. Students are crazy when it comes to sports especially football. The athletic facilities are wonderful and the athletes attitude are just like the regular college students, friendly and out going.

Campus Dining: Dining Options at Reber-Thomas Dining Hall – Reber-Thomas,known as "The Rot" has a selective amount of choices to eat and enjoy. First is the main dish which serve common American food such as rice, spaghetti, mash potatoes, etc. Also the rot contains asian foods and every student has the choice to like how many asian cultures eat. Pizza and pasta is served as well and for those that want to eat healthy, has the opportunity to eat at the balance section. Mexican food, sandwichs, salads and desserts are also available with a great amount of choices to choose from.

Drug Safety: No Drugs – Since I've been going to school here, I haven't even seen any drugs or alcohol, students are really respectfull of the rules on campus.

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Guy & Girls – There are many different types of people at Liberty, every student has their own style of dress. The cool thing about Liberty is that you don't have to be a certain way to fit in.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Liberty is very welcoming to everyone that come on campus, liberty has a mixture of all different races, but everyone is treated the same.

4 College Junior

Facilities: All of the facilities are very modern and in great shape. The football and basketball arenas were both updated last fall.

5 College Junior

Computers: The campus has a main computer lab with many computers that are all up to date and run very well. They also have wireless throughout the entire campus so you can use your laptop anywhere.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There is a midnight curfew for all resident students, but there are frequent late night events offered by the Student Activities. There are many things such as Late Skate/late night ice skating, movies, computer labs, and student center signouts.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Meal plans can be used at numerous locations on campus including the Ruber Thomas Dining Hall, The Keyhole, Founders Food Court, The Hangar, Jazzmans Cafe, and Doc's Diner. Whatever food mood you are in you can bet you will find it here!

4 College Junior

Scholarships: I found the people in the financial aid office to be very helpful in finding ways to bridge the financial gap.

4 College Junior

Weather: The weather here is usually pretty mild, but it does rain a lot. When snow or ice occur transportation is very difficult as the area does not have the proper equipment to deal with in-climate winter weather.
