Drug Safety: Liberty University is a dry campus. We do NOT allow drugs and drinking on campus. If a student is caught using either, they will be in big trouble and will have to pay a fine.

Academics: My major is nursing. The nursing program at Liberty University is an excellent one. Your first semester you take anatomy, chemistry, nursing 101, and several other science related classes. Then over Christmas break, you apply to the program. There are 3 tiers and depending on your GPA, you apply by a certain date. Then over Spring break they will email you with their decision. Once you are in the program, you begin clinicals second semester sophomore year. Then junior year you are in the hospital about 3 times a week. Junior year is the most intense and busy year of the nursing program. By senior year you are in the hospital all the time and are preparing to take the NCLEX. The nursing professors are really good and they want you to succeed.

Academics: Such an Encouraging Atmosphere – I chose Liberty University because they offer an online program for Psychology with specialization in Christian Counseling. After going on a mission trip to Brazil I knew God was calling me to do missions and that it involved counseling. A friend told me about Liberty and I transferred to the Online program. It has been such a wonderful experience and I have enjoyed each of my classes and all my professors. The professors are always available and encourage you to do your best. I would recommend this school to anyone!!

Off-Campus Dining: Yey for Flames Cash! We have the option to use 100 flames cash (same as dollars/per semester) off campus and the food is pretty good. You have from casual fine dining to pizza to subs. It's pretty variable and there's even international dining like Indian and Thai restaurants.

Campus Dining: The "Rot" Does Not Stand for the Quality of the Food – Our main dining hall the Reber Thomas a.k.a. "The Rot" has not always been the greatest in providing quality, healthy, delicious meals, but this past year it redeemed itself one almost can't remember such gloomy days. The food now is pretty awesome. We even have special theme nights, and this year, we had the best Salmon dish and the best desserts ever!

Academics: Great Opportunities for One on One Learning – Although our Biology and Chemistry department might not be as big as other state universities, the quality of instruction by the professor is outstanding. One has the opportunity to reach out and seek help with any aspect of your major. Whether a student has questions on what field to enter, how to get involved in further studies, or any other subject, professors are willing to challenge and help students.

Scholarships: Liberty University is very efficient and helpful when a student is trying to find scholarships that work for them. Liberty offers about 5 different scholarships to incoming Freshmen that are easily attainable.

Guys & Girls: Both the guys and the girls at Liberty University are quality type people. You can find any type of person or group on Liberty's campus. There are so many students that you are going to find a group that fits your personality. All of the students are friendly, and are definitely genuine people. Also, the girls of Liberty University were ranked number one in the country of hottest girls on a college campus by Playboy magazine. I find that something to easily brag on.

Transportation: The School has their own buses that run and parking passes are reasonable. The only drawback is they have no patience and will tow if you are not parked within the guidelines.

2 Recent Alumnus

Parking: Liberty has parking issues, but they are trying to do what they can to build parking lots and plan events so that parking is more convenient.

Nightlife: Based upon the fact that Liberty University is a Christian school and runs the city of Lynchburg, there are no clubs and nightlife is non-existent. If you like to party and drink Liberty and Lynchburg are not for you.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall, Liberty is an average school. Yes, there are rules but get over it and don't complain if you come here. Do it in the closet. Their biggest problem is their whole financial aid system. They can screw some junk up and do it regularly.

Off-Campus Housing: Living off is cheaper and better. Holy cow, do you want to sleep when you want and keep from having some RA come and wake you up? Of course you do.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The town has plenty of places to eat but nothing to go crazy over. Sadly much of the town shuts down at 9 pm.

Campus Housing: Living in a Hotel – The Lynchburg Inn, or Liberty Annex, is a hotel that was converted into dorms for students. It is spacious and comfortable. In addition, there is dining hall and cafe at the Lynchburg Inn. The dorms also feature a computer lab and swimming pool.

Facilities: Academic Buildings – The academic buildings at Liberty University are great. Some buildings are within walking distances of each other while others are reached by riding the bus. There is a student center that is a separate part of an academic building. In addition, the school has a basketball arena, cafeteria, football stadium, and a restaurant. In addition, student activities and general campus aesthetics are held in academic buildings sometimes.

Drug Safety: No Drugs – Students are not allowed to drink or have drugs on or off campus. There is police always on duty and this rule is enforced.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is a good mix of Asian, Black and white students. Students come from all types of economic backgrounds. The majority of the campus is republican and Christian. There are mostly Baptist. There are a little more females than males on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Computer Labs – There are a lot of computers, but the labs are always packed. A lot of printers break down and there aren't enough for everyone. Wireless is good and connection is also very good.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Campus Saftey – I feel safe on campus, but I think it's dumb we have a curfew, or an early one. I think it's fine to have us sign out in case something bad were to happen but I think it stinks that we have to be in so early.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Dining Rating and Improvements – I believe the choices we have for dining on campus are great, but it would be even better if they were open later. It is convenient to use our meal points rather than cash to buy meals. If they were open later we could eat there rather than having to go out to eat.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Health and Saftety – Liberty is definitely one of the safest campuses around. Campus crime is a rare occurrence, and campus police are continually patrolling the area. They are also good about notifying students when there is any type of crime.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: No parties or dances or anything of the sort. They aren't allowed. A small percentage of students do travel off campus on the weekends to party at houses or other schools.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Attractive - Reserved – Extremely attractive girls at Liberty. Most are very reserved though.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Nice but Upgrading – The facilities are all good quality. Nothing special. But there is currently a very impressive 5 year plan that involves major upgrading.
