3 College Freshman

Weather: It is almost always raining. Lynchburg is often called drench burg. Classes will hardly ever get cancelled for winter weather, it really has to be a lot of bad weather or else they will just shot down the school for a couple of hours.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: It is really easy to get scholarships, they offer a great variety. The people at Liberty's office were extremely helpful.

4 College Freshman

Academics: There are some great professors here. Make sure you look at ratemyprofessor.com or ask a current student about what professors to take though, you dont want to end up with an awful professor. The curriculum is the same as state schools except there are required Bible classes, but theyre not bad and very interesting. Registration is easy to do and online. The workload is typical for a college, but there is free tutoring and a writing workshop provided if needed.

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There is a lot of diversity on this campus. There are so many international students, so there are many races and ethnic backgrounds. There are city folk here, and then the country folk too. Theres a wide variety, we have people from Canada to Florida, from New York to California. The students are known to be really good looking here, minus a few exceptions. People have their own style, but you can tell the majors apart: for instance, everyone knows what worship majors look like by their dress. While there is diversity in clothing, there are some people who dress alike.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: If you're not in dress code, you will be sent back to your dorm to change plus get a rep. Although some people tend to get away with dress code violations. If your room is messy, you will get a warning. If you get up to 7 warnings, it becomes a rep, which means you have to pay a fine.

2 College Junior

Parking: The parking lot is usually always full and I think there are too many people who have cars on campus.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Liberty's professors are excellent. If you ever need extra help or are going through a hard time in your personal or academic life, they are there to help and and pray for you. Most of the professors are very understanding and are always looking out for their students.

Local Atmosphere: Lynchburg is not the biggest city but it is perfect for college students. There are plenty of employment opportunities and housing for students. Liberty has many sports facilities available and has activities going on all the time. You will rarely be bored on this campus.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: If I had to recommend one place to live on campus it would be the Circle- Main. When I imagined what college would be like before I came I imagined it like how the Circle is. The rooms are tight with three people per a room but it is worth it. It is a lot easier to form friendships and socialize on the Circle than the Annex or East.

4 College Freshman

Weather: Although it does rain a lot in Lynchburg, it does not affect the campus experience. The beautiful days here in the mountains make up for the messy days.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There are many houses/apartments posted on the Liberty University apartment finder page. There are a lot of places that are for a reasonable price. There are many places that are close to campus for students to reside. Freshmen and Sophomores usually tend to live on campus. Students normally move off for Junior year, if not then their Senior year.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Christian School, guided by people who are living the life without compromise. Indeed, It is happening especially at Liberty. ")

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I designed my own major with Interdisciplinary Studies option; sciences that lead to the RN with Law enforcement that adds to the forensic part of nursing, as in learning how to gather evidence and therefore eventually a suspect's conviction; especially in abuse cases!

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Webinar on the 26th of February is going to help me.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The on-campus dining is better than most campuses I've been on. They have a bunch of places you can chose from and you can use your meal swipes or "flames cash" for all of them, including Chick-Fil-A, Subconnection (it's like a subway), Dunkin Donuts, The Hanger, Doc's Diner, Jazzman's Cafe.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere around Liberty University is amazing. Everyone is friendly, and there are plenty of things to do, if you look around, you'll never be bored. Theres a "dollar" movie theater right off of campus, and it features movies that just came out of the regular theater and it's only 2 bucks for students! Its just like a normal movie theater, you'd just have to wait an extra month or two to see a new movie.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are multitudes of different restaurants and other small places to eat. There are many chains, but also some smaller restaurants you can check out. Either way, there's plenty to choose from..sometimes too many! Also, when you sign up for a meal plan at Liberty you get a certain amount of "flames cash" which you can use basically as money to buy food at many off campus restaurants and pizza places, and you can also use your flames cash at any o the dining locations on campus

4 College Junior

Weather: It is beautiful here , mostly sunny with spacious surrounding mountains and fresh air!

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Sometimes you'll have to wait a long time for a bus, but not very often

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I haven't run into drugs or alcohol once since coming to Liberty. I'm sure, like anywhere, that there are people who drink and do drugs, but it is not a huge problem at Liberty. Drug and Alcohol policies here are strict and well enforced.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: The Facilities at Liberty University are amazing! I am still in awe of all the free things there are to do around campus... we have the SnowFlex where students can ski and snowboard year round for free, an equestrian center, which offers free trail rides and lessons to students, free four wheeling on the mountain, free ice skating, etc. There are also numerous clubs, both fun and academic, and student organizations on campus that are easy to join.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Liberty University is known for it's rules, which I was a little worried about when I first decided to come here but honestly they are not as ridiculous as everyone makes them out to be. I am having a blast! All the police officers and administration I've met are extremely kind and genuinely care about you. If you're looking for the average college experience with partying and drinking then Liberty is probably not the place for you, but the campus is anything but boring!!! There is always something fun going on!

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love living on campus at Liberty! They might not be fancy or first class, but the community is absolutely amazing. Housing is a little on the pricey side, but I have made so many friends and feel like there is always something fun and exciting going on! It is totally worth the cost.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid process it a breeze now days compared to when I went to school the first time over 20 years ago. The FA office is so helpful. I've had many questions and continue to have questions and they answer them all with promptness and I imagine with a smile. So helpful and courteous.

4 College Junior

Majors: I am a business admin major and have been happy with the program. It is comparable to other universities that I research. I have started back to school after a 20 year break and the faculty at LU have made the process so easy to come back. I'm already well established in my industry but just wanted to finish my degree. If the day comes that I need to move on, I feel that I would be more marketable.
