Scholarships: I Would Have Paid! The financial aid process was a breeze at Liberty compared to some other colleges I had applied for. The finical aid office not only walked me through the whole process, they were very kind when doing so. I am very satisfied with the financial aid I received because it has a good amount of my schooling. Liberty University worked with me and the delays I had on my FASFA due to other issues ,and I was still able to enroll in classes once everything was taking care of rather than waiting until the next semester.

Majors: Easily Done – Applying and becoming a student at Liberty University is the main reason I chose to attend; not only did they provide informative information that was easy to access, they made the enrollment process quick and simple. I was able to review multiple options, and their by phone department was easy accessible. The school answered all my questions politely, I thought the customer service was superb.

Overall Experience: Great Professors Who Care About Your Success. I had great professors who cared and gave feedback way beyond the norm. They offered personal encouragement and direction. I received high quality instruction. There is a lot of academic freedom. There is a lot of open and critical dialogue between the students and professors. This baccalaureate has equipped me for ministry in the Christian faith and helped build my Christian worldview.

Overall Experience: I have had a very positive experience at Liberty. I love my classes and the work has been pretty intense but not unmanagable. You have to be self-motivated as with any college but I love it here. The christian based perspective is exactly what I was looking for. The classes teach the required curriculum but you also get a christian slant on it as well. I would definately choose Liberty again if I had to do it over.

Majors: Very Easy – I actually switched my major from a Master's in Licensed Professional Counseling to an MAT in Special Education and the transition was extremely easy. There was not major application process and the classes are difficult but not unmanagable. There was no essay requirements for admission into the program and there is no dissertation requirement at the end.

Diversity: Many Different Types of People – I think its great how Liberty has so many different types of students and from all over the world.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Process Was Very Smooth – I just wish they had more scholarships to offer to their students.

Transportation: Liberty University has alot of ways of getting around campus and the campus isn't difficult to navigate by foot.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Lots to Do – The city and the school are both working together to make the area a viberant and fun place to go to school as well as get a quality edycation from some top professors

Parking: Not to Great – There are several parking lots on campus, but they do tend to fill up quickly during the week. The "pit" is the parking lot on south campus, that's usually the place to park if there's no other parking, but it is further away.

Off-Campus Dining: They have several off-campus dining options. They're very convenient and close to the University, as well. Pricing is reasonable; most places in the area aren't too expensive.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: They have a good variety of academics. Some of the professors aren't the best, but I have found some amazing professors.

Health & Safety: The health and safety was of top priority at Liberty, in fact Lynchburg, VA is one of the safest cities in the US according to a recent study.

Scholarships: A Lot of Opportunity – Liberty University offers a lot of easy scholarships that almost any student would qualify for.

Overall Experience: Motivational and Educationally Sound – As a student at Liberty University I was encouraged to grow educationally, as well as spiritually. I feel that I am a balanced adult with an equal confidence in my education as well as my spiritual life.

5 College Junior

Majors: It is very unique in that I am able to study online. However, I do not feel distant from the rest of the Liberty University Community. We have a Prayer Force, where students who have concerns can requet prayer from the prayer team. Our instructors are not only well qualified to teach the subject but they are all very approachable and caring. I have truly enjoyed the professionalism, and instruction that I have received from them. In 2013, I will be flying to Virginia to attend the graduation with my other classmates. I am so excited that as a mother of 4, I am able to finish my education at one of the best schools in the country.

Weather: Overall the weather is very nice, but it does rain fairly often. When it rains all the girls wear their colorful rain boots. I think that is snowed twice all year.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Safety First – Liberty University does a great job of making the safety of their students a priority. From active campus police to well-lit hangout areas, Liberty has one of the safest "feels" to it.

Transportation: I Love the Bus Service – The bus service is amazing! GLTC does a great job!

Off-Campus Dining: Great Resturants – There is more than just fast food, directly across from LU is a whole array of restaurants. It is great!
And they take flames cash!

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: They Give a Lot of Money Out to Students. I received a lot of scholarships, as long as you do the fafsa and fill out the forms needed for the other scholarships they offer you get them all!

Overall Experience: I love LU so much because it teaches and acts out christian principles while at the same time providing high academics.

Campus Housing: The Liberty Annex is a dorm located about 3 miles outside of the Liberty University campus. The distance is perfect because it's close enough to campus to feel involved but also far enough to not feel smothered with school. It involves a swimming pool, cafeteria, cafe, and lounge area. The people that stay at the annex are extremely diverse. The rooms are very spacious, the biggest on campus and includes a full sink and counter area, full private bathroom and two full size beds (sometimes 1 bunk and 1 loft.) The annex has a great, close community. Best dorms on campus!
