College Junior

Facilities: I am an online student so I haven't used the facilities.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: Liberty doesn't need nightlife! If you want to have fun you can go play video games in a friends dorm. But let's face it, college is for school work. You should probably be studying instead of partying.

Weather: I live on the East Coast already, so I am used to humidity. Compare to where I'm from, Liberty has beautiful weather. It rains sometiimes, but other than that it is usually mild and pleasant. The sunsets are always gorgeous and the mountains are so beautiful.

Campus Dining: The food at Liberty is GREAT! The dining hall (the ROT) has so many options to choose from and the food is really good! But when you get tired of eating in the same place, and you will, Liberty has a plethora of other options. You can get a sub at Subconnection or go to the Bistro for a sandwich!

4 College Junior

Computers: All computers works just fine and are updated regularly

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Liberty is known for having stricter rules compared to most colleges but it is nothing that is unbearable. The rules actually sound a lot worse than what they are. Most of the rules are not really followed. Liberty is such a great school and the rules definitely are not bad.

Facilities: There is always SO much going on at liberty! Its Great! Traditions include the lighting of the christmas tree in front of demoss, Tailgating before every football game and always being early and wearing RED to the games. Christmas Coffeehouse and convocation are AWESOME! there are always band and open mic nigts that are well attended. There is always somewhere to go, something to do and someone to hangout with! We have many facilities where people can go ice skating, ride horses, snowboard and ski, play video games, play pool, go to the movies and there are always camous activities! We just hosted a skateboarding rail jam this past semester that was AWESOME. literally you will not be board.

Campus Dining: On campus there are the main options: The Rot, the Bistro, The Hanger, SubConnection and Chickfila at the Tilley.
There is a whole lot of variety at these places alone and they are DELICIOUS! The rot is the main dining hall on campus but it becomes boring after going there so much. The bistro makes really good wraps and pizette sandwiches that are a liberty favorite when on the go. The hanger has a pizza hut express in it, a grill for classic hamburgers and chicken nuggets and a smoothie area and a sandwich bar. Subconnection is delicious! Its a make your own sub place.
There are also many restaurants right on the edge of campus that will take flames cash. There are vending machines everywhere and there is a starbucks on campus and two places to eat over at east campus: Doc's Diner and The Flames Zone which is in the east clubhouse. Docs Diner is a nice place where swipes can be used! ALSO JAZZMANS in demoss is FABULOUS. basicall there are TONS of places to eat, drink and be merry!

Athletics: There are SO MANY sports at Liberty and tons of ways to get involved! The school is filled with an amazing level of spirit! The facilities are top notch! Many students participate in club sports and have dorm teams. Liberty has a great athletic edge as a school. Fan support is amazing for all of the sports especially at the football, basketball and ice hockey games! Liberty is known for having amazing athletics and amazing facilities that are constantly being upgraded.

Off-Campus Dining: Honestly, there are so many options! On campus alone there are many places that you can use swipes, meal points and flames cash at. Off campus there are TONS of great restaraunts like Panera, Chipotle,Sonic, Applebees, Texas Roadhouse and Buffalo Wild Wings, just to name a few and most will take falmes cash from the school! There are so many great places and lots of variety. Also Lynchburg is filled with frozen Yogurt shops and cozy coffee shops so there is so much to choose from! The reason I put an A minus is because most places close at or around midnight besides mcdonalds, wendys and those type of fast food restaraunts.

Campus Strictness: My biggest issue is how some students dress. I grew up knowing that young men and women should not only act professional, and dress according.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I never feel unsafe on Liberty's campus. Security is always near, making my comfort level low. I never feel scared for anything bad happening.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: All of our sports teams have the biggest student support I have ever seen. I love going to football games and hearing our student section cheer and holler. We support our flames every chance we get.

5 College Freshman

Academics: I am in the honors program at Liberty and it offers a great addition to academics with smaller, discussion based classes. The workload is very manageable

5 College Freshman

Academics: I love the music program at Liberty. The classes are excellent and taught by wonderful professors who truly care for the students. I have grown so much already there. The practice time is a big commitment but any music major knows this when they choose this major. The facilities are a little outdated but they are currently beginning construction on a new music building!

4 College Freshman

Weather: It is kind of unpredictable but there are alot of beautiful days

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are mostly chain restaurants directly outside of campus but I know that downtown and historical lynchburg are more diverse in cuisine

4 College Senior

Diversity: There is a lot of racial/ethnic diversity with students from literally all over the world. Economically, there is quite a bit of diversity, though since it is a private school, many students are at least middle class or higher. As far as religion, the school is not diverse because it is a private Christian school, so most of the students are Christians with a conservative background politically as well.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: There is really no much diversity but its a good environment

Health & Safety: It's a open campus but you always see police officers around. It has been pretty safe so far.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: Liberty's transportanion is really good. They even take you to the airport or train station if you want to.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking at Liberty University is not a problem. Its the people who are just so lazy that they can't seem to take a nice 2-5 minute walk to class.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: NCAA Athletics at Liberty University are OK. What really makes the games are the fans! We come wild and crazy dressed up in the craziest costumes I've ever seen and go nuts. As far as team performance goes, It is not satisfactory especially with Men's Basketball. Our football program on the other hand is fantastic. Its actually the most anticipated sport all year.

5 College Senior

Majors: Completing an application and providing all transcripts are required. I personally did not have any difficulties. Making sure all documents are sent on time so that you can enroll in the semester of choice would be very important. I did not have any abnormal application process. I recommend researching a year or so in advance of the type of school and program that interest you is the best tip.

3 College Senior

Majors: A typical internship is like a regular job with all the responsibilities however, in my case I do not get paid. I enjoy working teenage girls and learning from everyone. I mostly enjoy coming up lesson plans for group sessions.
