5 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Liberty is a Christian school so I left accepted by everyone and loved the atmosphere. Everyone was so nice.

5 College Senior

Majors: It was very easy to get into the RN-BSN program. I applied over phone and received an acceptance e-mail the next day.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The curriculum for the School of Education is very rigorous. I am excited that the Education major students are highly thought of in the community of Lynchburg. Liberty University is pushing me to become a highly valued employee. I have found that the professors will do anything for the students who want to succeed. The professors are concerned that their students are present in class and actively participating during each class session. Most of my classes have been small enough that it is not intimidating to ask or answer questions. Furthermore, Liberty does not want their students to only be academically prepared, but also spiritually prepared. I would recommend Liberty University to anyone who is serious about getting a solid education with a biblical emphasis.

3 College Junior

Academics: Distance learning was overall a good experience, but for the price per class, I wish some of the professors were a little more interactive.

4 College Junior

Majors: I do distance learning for the Business Admin program and I enjoy being able to work when and where I want. The professors are accessible and the curriculum is good.

1 College Senior

Nightlife: There is no parties or nightlife to speak of at Liberty University.

Academics: All of the professors that I have worked with at Liberty University have been very professional and have responded to all of my questions and/or emails in a timely manners. All of the material for each class are available before the classes even start and most class have study guides available so that the student can prepare and study for their exams before they are due.

3 College Senior

Academics: I am in Psychology-Christian Counseling Psychology. I have learned so much since I started at Liberty University. I have a closer more personal relationship with my Savior and I see people differently. I am looking forward to finishing my Degree so that I can begin my career and help others,

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Everyone comes together to support the sports teams,
and the alumni community is very supportive.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: The university has a online university that have student from
all over the world. Some students are even in the military.
This school is Christ centered, and they train champions.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: They have a variety of food to choose from.
Seasoning is great.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The scholarships available are definitely biased toward military and military associates. While I appreciate the mission of Liberty to make school easier/more affordable for our troops and their families, I think the school should offer more low-income and grade-based scholarships as well.

2 College Sophomore

Diversity: Diversity isn't exactly a prominent feature of the Liberty campus. There are non-Caucasians on site, but they are not anywhere near a large minority. As a Christian college, the general political atmosphere is conservative and that religion is considered in most to all classes (a possible offense for any of differing beliefs). However, one should consider the fact that this is a private Christian school if one has varying beliefs that one feels might make it uncomfortable to be on campus.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Most of the professors I've had were very nice and understanding. The curriculum wasn't hard to follow. The registration process was easy to follow because their were academic advisors available to help you. Workload was good. You have a week to complete your assignments.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: Liberty U has plenty to choose from within the cafeteria and outside of the cafeteria at the other dining facilities on campus...as well as some "chain" options including: Barnes & Nobles, Chick-Fil-A, and Dunkin Donuts, etc...

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: The drug scene at Liberty U is not big or present on-campus. Although it depends on who your friends are. People who are looking for trouble will find it, it doesn't matter where they come from or what school they go to. Overall, Liberty U campus is safe when it comes to the drug/alcohol scene.

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: You'll find all sorts of guys and girls at Liberty U: city, ravers, rednecks, suburbans, preppies, etc... With all kinds of people interested in different activities: sports, music, arts, etc...

4 College Freshman

Facilities: The school is under a lot of construction at the moment. We have a new library being built and new dorms. If you are looking for a party school, you might want to look around some more but we can have just as much fun in our own way. Some of the brother/sister dorms try to do a lot of fun activities and when we get snow(which isn't very often) we have huge snowball fights

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Liberty is definitely a different kind of school and unlike any other. With that said, it is not for everyone either. There is a high emphasis on personal faith and giving back to the community. I am an athletic training major and I know that they are creating a new building which will have state-of-the-art technology for us to use and do our own research. The school is continually getting better and striving to be the best that it can be. Since the school is only 41 years old, they are doing pretty well compared to others that have been around for many more years.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The school really tries to get the students involved but most students leave the stadium and/or court at half time during the games. There are some loyal fans who stay the whole games but many do not. For football games, the non-student section of the stands are not very crowded.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Each of the facilities at this school is top of the line. I gave it an A because Liberty University's campus life is far from rusty. Their buildings are made by some of the best architects and building constructionists. We have new buildings coming almost every other year. We have a brand new baseball stadium soon to be arriving. The hangout spots are really enjoyable and above it all, LU has the Snowflex. Look it up!

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: I am personally blown away with how much the school actually wants you to attend. They help each student with providing them with the means to receive many school scholarships. I, myself, have received most of the available ones. They have great opportunities for financial aid.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: At Liberty University, the transportation is very convenient. Buses and transits are available at many different locations. On campus bus run everywhere and off campus buses take students to apartments as well. I am very pleased also with the times of the buses.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Liberty university offers a wide range of scholarships and incentives and it is quite easy to take claim of them. From incoming freshman and transfer students Liberty offers a wide range of opportunities to make school affordable.

College Sophomore

Diversity: I am an online student and my online class is very diverse. We have discussion boards online and everyone is very friendly with one another. No one is discriminated against when it comes to color, nationality, or religious beliefs.
