Majors: As a Nursing Student, I will be completing over 800 hours of clinicals in hospitals. The clinical program Liberty has is outstanding, and they offer (through application) clinical opportunities in both Richmond and Roanoke for an additional challenge.

Off-Campus Housing: It's not super new in most places, but still not as expensive as most places and good if you want space.

Campus Dining: The places around campus are actually pretty good for being "college" food. With many options including a bistro, Chik-fil-a, Sub Connection (like a subway), and Doc's Diner, there are many different places to eat. Reber Thomas Dining Hall contains many options including Chinese, a grill place, Mexican, vegan, and Italian choices.

Local Atmosphere: Liberty's campus and location are wonderful, but the atmosphere is what drawled me in when I was choosing where I wanted to go to school. Being the #1 Christian university in the world, it definitely shows it. Christ is completely surrounded in this campus and the people really live their lives according to the Gospel. I absolutely love Liberty University and I am so blessed to be able to get my degree here.

Scholarships: Financial aid is very quick to process funds. My only deal wth them is that there aren't any grants for online students.

Transportation: There really are a ton of different transportation options at Liberty. There are on-campus buses running constantly and multiple buses that take students off-campus to the main bus plaza where there are strings of buses that branch off all over Lynchburg. The airport is very close and so is the Amtrak. The only downfall is that sometimes the campus bus schedules get a little off schedule or the buses fill up at prime times and students have to walk to class, which can take anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending where you live on campus.

Scholarships: Liberty University really offers a lot of scholarships. I read on the campus website that 95% of residential students receive some form of financial aid, and I believe it. On top of that, the University offers up safe, subsidized and unsubsidized loans to cover some remaining costs. The main downfall was all the hassle of having to keep turning in paperwork because the financial aid instructions were not very clear and the financial aid department was very slow with replies, due to the large size of the University.

Computers: There are plenty of computers on campus and many different kinds of study labs that range from loud group study rooms to strictly quiet facilities. There are tons of printers on campus, and we have an awesome printing lab where students can inexpensively have odd projects printed/completed such as getting textbooks spiral-bound. The downside of it all is that since Liberty University is such a large college (13,000+ residential students and 60,000+ online students), the internet connection is consistently slow.

Off-Campus Dining: lots of options but mostly chain and fast food close by, have to drive to get something really good, food tax really expensive

Majors: It really just depends on where you do it and what program you have to complete it for. Some are paid others are not. Overall they are great for gaining experience in the real world. I have had to complete an overall 150 hours so I go two days a week to work on completing these hours

Facilities: My campus does a great job over all in this area and are working right now to make improvements to buildings for more great hangout spots

Facilities: It does an amazing job in having a dry campus and in order to do this they offer their students great alternatives to still have fun and stay busy. We also have small group times every week on our halls which allows you to really connect and get to know others on your hall.

Academics: My school does an amazing job in giving the students great variety in the classes they offer

Academics: Family and Child Development program is a great program! I gave it an A because I have absolutely loved and so benefited from all the classes I have had to take to earn my degree. I also love that I have had to complete an internship in order to graduate this was an amazing experience and so enjoyed it. I feel like this department does an amazing job in preparing their students for the real world.

Campus Housing: Housing is a very easy process. There are pros and cons to anywhere that you live on campus, but they are all great options. New housing is being built as well which will definitely enhance the atmosphere at Liberty.

5 College Freshman

Parking: A car is not necessary to have at Liberty. They have a really good bus system that takes you anywhere on campus and they also have a few buses that go to Downtown Lynchburg, to Walmart, and a few other places off campus. The university makes it very easy for students with and without cars to get where they need to be.

Drug Safety: Since Liberty is a Christian university, it most definitely enforces its drug and alcohol policy. I know that students off campus partake in alcohol and drugs more than on campus students, simply because it's easier for them to. However, there are some sneaky students who get away with it on campus. If found out about there definitely will be consequences and possibly the chance of being kicked out of school. For these reasons, and just because of personal moral standards, most students don't participate in drug and alcohol use.

Athletics: Students at Liberty get really excited for football season! Everyone goes all out in their paint and bright red. The student section is huge and everyone is super energetic and excited! The other sports here are fun too, but football is definitely the big one. IM sports are really popular as well. A lot of people participate in them and it's a great way to meet a lot of new people.

Parking: Again...online student. I have no idea. Get questions that are suited for online students.

College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I attend online so I have no perspective to provide on the local dining options.

4 College Junior

Academics: Most of the professors are great and really helpful. Like anywhere else, there are a few that are awful, but most of the time you can avoid them. There are many different areas of studies for you to choose from.

2 College Junior

Parking: parking is a pain...but if you want to pay a high price for it you can get pretty good parking.

4 College Junior

Weather: Its a little crazy. It will be warm one day and cold the next...but it is always a surprise! =)

5 College Junior

Academics: Liberty staffs competent, knowledgeable professors who readily share what they know with their students. The textbook selection has been great, the registration process was easy and the workload is manageable for a graduate-level course schedule.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: As a university that is rooted in Christian principles, Liberty has rules that pertain to social behaviors that could potentially cause harm to the student and that are a direct affront to Christian values.
