Scholarships: Liberty University is a great school for financial aid. Although the school itself is a bit pricey, they do their best in giving you plenty of resources to receive aid. They give you several scholarships right off the bat. The Student Advocate Office is a great resource for assisting financially troubled students, they want to help you stay.

Athletics: IM sports are extremely encouraged and there is always teams to join. In regards to Varsity sports, football is huge, but other than that there is little student involvement.

3 College Freshman

Majors: There are a lot of options, and they are all very god programs.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The professors and students are all very dedicated, and it makes for a good environment to learn.

Diversity: There is an online campus as well as a regular campus because of that the school serves a very diverse group of students. Most are Christian, others (like myself) are not affiliated, but I have never once felt belittled for my lack of faith. I feel that Liberty is an excellent school for anyone that wants an education from people that actually care.

Computers: They have an exceptional computer lab with both macs and hp. It is very convenient! The printing is just as convenient but I brought my own. Sometimes the internet is slow but with thousands of students on campus, that is expected.

Campus Strictness: No alcohol/drugs ect.
No members of the opposite sex in your dorm
Curfew at midnight and 12:30, however you can sign out to places on or off campus.
That is basically it. It is not too strict but sometimes the restrictions feel like a lot.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: When I have called the university everyone is quite professional.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Liberty takes students from any race, religion or ethnicity. I am a latin american student and my ethnicity did not have any effect on my acceptance.

4 College Junior

Majors: I had no problems getting into my program. I was enrolled under a probationary status because of some poor grades received from previous classes taken at another school. This shouldn't be a deterent. The probationary status is lifted after the first semester (as long as you pass!)

College Junior

Majors: I don't plan on having an internship at the moment because I'm in the military. I know that Liberty students have many oppurtunities for internships.

Majors: As a Religion major, I'm very happy with my program. I feel the Lord's calling in my life to pursue ministry, and my program has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible and the issues facing many people in our world today. I would certainly do this over again as the classes have been informative and interesting. My career goal is to serve wherever the Lord would have me. I'm not concerned about my ability to find a job in this field. After all, it's not about the money and God will provide. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)

Campus Dining: Not applicable, I am an online student and I do not eat at the dining facility

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Lynchburg has a lot of places to eat; chain and local restaurants.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: There's buses constantly running, but be prepared to wait sometimes because they can be inconsistant. I wouldn't recommend depending on them to get to class.

3 College Freshman

Weather: I'm from an area not far away so I'm used to the weather. However, rain can be a hassle sometimes.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: Liberty is a Christian school and the drug scene is almost non-existant. This scene is not at all visible, as students will get reprimanded if caught.

4 College Junior

Academics: One of my favorite things about Liberty is the professors. They all care about you as a student and want to see you succeed.

4 College Junior

Academics: I love being a communications major! Many of the professors have worked in the field before and know what they are talking about. Many of the classes are hands on and you actually get experience rather than just textbook knowledge.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Honestly, there's some certain extent of limitation of the places where you can go eat. There's the dining hall, subconnection, or the bistro; which, other places in the academic buildings are just quick-to-go food, which is a plus and minus. I'll give it to the dining hall for having a variety buffet style food court.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Have to say there's definitely a variety where you'll see the girls and guys from the North and South. The guys are decently handsome and gentlemen. The girls seem to vary on the scale from the classic geeky to the high maintenance (who are only here for a ring).

4 College Freshman

Majors: I'm an English major, and I absolutely love all of the faculty within the English department. Each professor has a passion for the subject, and are always encouraging their students to put forth their best effort; however, they are not just about teaching, but also desire to have personal relationships with their students. They enjoy just having casual conversation about every day life.

5 College Freshman

Majors: So far I am extremey happy with my courses and area of study. There are a wide range of courses to choose from within each academic department that can prepare a student for future success; not only are the courses helpful, but they are also interesting. There is no doubt in my mind that if I ever pursue a higher degree that LU will be my school of choice!

3 College Senior

Diversity: Majority Christian, very diverse ethnic backgrounds, many national and international students, predominantly homogenous, predominately conservative...but welcoming to students in general.

3 College Senior

Nightlife: Concerts, games, local bands/on-campus bands, dollar theatre, coffee shops, downtown Lynchburg, and Roanoke/Charlottesville about an hour away.
