For an open campus located in the middle of a large city, Lesley does a pretty good job of making sure the students feel safe. Most Lesley students are comfortable walking to and from different dorms and buildings during the day and night, though Public Safety can escort students if they are feeling unsafe for any reason. Being an open campus, however, allows nonstudents access to school grounds, though an ID card is needed to enter most buildings. The Public Security officers at Lesley are visible, though not particularly active on campus; they are usually needed to deal with locked-out students and printing new IDs. Due to this, Public Security is generally viewed as being very relaxed and laid-back, though not much on campus warrants them taking any real action, as any crime in the area usually happens off campus.
The Health Services office at Lesley is staffed with high-quality medical professionals who really care about the students; they offer numerous medical services, as well as provide free methods of contraception. However, while a great office, it is only open until 4 p.m. on weekdays and isn’t open at all on the weekends, which can be very inconvenient.
