Lesley is located in the beautiful city of Cambridge, and many of its dorms and administrative buildings are renovated Victorian houses that blend right in with the surrounding residential homes. There are a few different styles of student housing (Victorian house, suite-style, traditional dorm), and all are pretty well maintained, though many of the Victorian houses are currently not handicapped accessible. The student center at Lesley is the hub of student life and has many places to hang out with friends, as well as a large flat-screen TV that is available for watching movies and playing video games. The student center is also home to the Office of Student Activities, which puts on a variety of both on- and off-campus activities for students. On weekends, the student center, which also houses Marran Theater, is home to any number of activities, such as musical guests, hypnotists, and casino nights.
The fitness center, while relatively small, is well-equipped and open to both students and staff. It provides a variety of cardio machines, as well as an extensive collection of both free weights and weight machines. Lesley shares its enormous library with the Episcopal Divinity School, located on Lesley’s Brattle Campus. While a little bit of a walk from Main Campus (about 10 minutes), it is well worth the trip, as the library is fully stocked with both fiction and nonfiction works, as well as a special section that houses children and young adult books as resources for education majors.
