4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Most people are pretty friendly and helpful. Everyone knows everyone on campus since only about 700 students go here. It's a good atmosphere especially as far as people go.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Most everyone at Lees McRae is a student athlete. Those who are not are usually a performing arts student. The girls wear a lot of boots, because the weather is usually cold.

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: I would say that the guy and girls are averge. Sometimes there are a few people that looks and dress great but their personilty mess it up. However, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". In my school you will see a mix of everything; city, country, black, white, etc.

5 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Quite Diverse – We have people from all over the world attending our school and since it is a very small class size, you eventually tend to meet everyone at your school at least once. Everyone is friendly, whether they are athletes or artists. Of course you have your little groups but in reality 95% of the school gets along. The guys are friendly and so are the girls. It's not hard to make friends here.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Where Is the Love? In high school I was used to seeing the typical couples walking around holding hands, kissing, hugging; just generally showing affection. Lees-McRae College is a Presbyterian school in the mountains of rural North Carolina. Despite this, there is a decent amount of ethnic and sexual diversity. There is a noticeably large number of gay and lesbian students here, many involved in athletics and the performing arts program. However, I have noticed time and time again the lack of public display of affection. I rarely see any couples (gay or straight) kissing or even holding hands on campus. While there is nothing wrong with this, I find it interesting looking back to high school and even middle school where I am from.
