5 College Sophomore

Majors: Because this survey is getting very tiring.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: Internship availabilities are posted everywhere including the Lee website.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: I'm a Business Admin Information Systems emphasis major and being only a sophomore I haven't really gotten into the meat of my degree. So far the courses have been a mixture of simple and challenging courses. However the challenging courses are definitely worth the effort. The workload max has been reduced to 16 hours, but if you take all 16 be prepared to have very little free time between studying and writing papers. Lee does have a required bible minor that is built into our curriculum.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Professors are the greatest. If you need after class help, they are more than willing to help you out until you fully understand a subject. Many people study in their dorms, but a very popular study area is the third floor of the science and math complex.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: While campus security can be really annoying because of parking ticket, due to parking being a nightmare at Lee, they're pretty easy to get along with and generally understanding. Lee does have a community covenant which every student signs before coming to Lee promising to not use drugs or alcohol while they are a student at Lee University, on or off campus and can result in loss of all scholarship and repayment of money, forfeiting financial aid or expulsion. No girls in boys dorms, and vice versa.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The are some large classes, but only in general core classes. Professors are the greatest at Lee. If you get the Chance take any class with Dr. Hammond, or Dr. Barnett, and you will regret nothing of their class even if you fail. Courses actually feel like you're learning something, except english, which had been a recap of the same curriculum since 6th grade. Many professors have a great sense of humor and will try their utmost to make the class entertaining and educational.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Students have drive and care deeply about what they plan to do.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Lee is a very safe environment. Unless you are a complete and total idiot, the chances of you being raped are miniscule at highest. Being a christian university anyone is willing to care for you, and counsel you on any sort of problems you may have.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: On campus housing is typically the major choice of most students. Lee owns apartments for upper classman that provide more freedom for older student. On campus housing is most likely the best option for student. As the best restaurants in cleveland are on campus, or around campus. All activities worth spending your time on are at Lee.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Cleveland is where fun comes to die. Most restaurant in cleveland don't seem to care about how their food tastes. Tres Hermanos Ocoee street is about a mile from Lee is the best Mexican Food in Cleveland. The taco bell near the mall is the best. And Rafaels about 5 miles from Lee in the walmart parking lot is the best Italian food. Cleveland is relatively close to Chattanooga for nightlife and Hamilton Place for shopping. A word of warning however Lee has a no alcohol or drug policy from any student on or off campus, and you may be expelled.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: It is a christian university. A LGBT student is pretty blasphemous and is rather insulting. However, lee students will embace a LGBT with love, but will not approve of their chosen lifestyle. Lee emphasizes on cross cultural experiences and welcome foreign students with open and loving arms. It is not uncommon to see many different ethnicity in one class.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The cafeteria is a buffet and is surprisingly great tasting food and has many options. The is also a chik-fil-a, a subway, the only dunkin' donuts within a 30 mile radius, the only einstein's bagel within at least 200 miles, and simply-to-gos throughout campus for quick lunches. I almost forgot Jazzman's coffee which rival starbucks. Einstein's bagels has some of the greatest breakfast burritos and chik-fil-a is amazing at breakfast. Eat at the cafeteria as much as possible.

College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I being a hetero sexual male am unable to give an accurate rating of other males. The are more girls than boys and are for a large percentage very attractive and intelligent.

College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I am a commuter, but from what my friends have told me living on campus is an amazing experience and the community is unforgettable. The best community is said to be in Medlin dorms.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: I love Lee. The students are by far some of the nicest people I have ever met. The professor genuinely care about their students personally, academically, and spriritually. Everyone tries their best to make you feel like you belong. I don't know what you may have heard about sodexo, but in my opinion the food is phenomenal. I highly recommend attending Lee University.

3 College Senior

Athletics: Although I personally do not participate in any of the sports programs offered. My suite mate is highly involved with the intramural and a friend is highly involved with the baseball and softball teams. I have only heard good things from them on the intramural teams and games. And the school teams are very good at what they do.

Guys & Girls: I love the people I have meet at Lee. Although my friend group is around the studious students, I have not had any issues with most of the greekclub people. Though there are some people that break the rules and are not the best to associate with I would trust the majority of the guys that I hang out with. and the girls I know are mostly upright young women.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: I do enjoy the visitation hours int the dorms and in the on campus apartments. Though opposite genders are not allowed in the dorm rooms on a regular basis there are 1-2 times a semesters where the staff does an open dorm where the opposite gender is allowed to hang out in the dorm rooms. The apartments are more lenient as the student in them are upperclassmen. The apartments allow opposite genders in the main living areas from 3pm -10pm on the week days and 12pm- 1am on the weekends. though the curfews can get a bit annoying they are also helpful as one knows when the opposite gender might be in the apartment and one can plan ones day accordingly

Overall Experience: I love it! I would gladly pick this school again. The school is in a beautiful area here students can go out and explore the Smokey Mountains on the weekends or visit larger cities such as Atlanta Ga or Knoxville for the weekends. There are also many parks within easy driving distance and some great natural swimming areas. Chattanooga is only a 30min drive from campus and a great place to spend a Saturday. Cleveland is in the middle of the bible belt and there are plenty of Churches to attend on a Sunday morning. I adore being able to explore the area with my friends. And the Professors at the school are extremely friendly. I am able to go to my professors offices hen ever I need help in the class or even just need an assignment explained more clearly.

Local Atmosphere: The area is great. Lots of museums. Cleveland is located right by a national park. 30min drive and you are in Downtown Chattanooga.

3 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: nothing that is outstanding, but a nice place to live.

3 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Dining: Not many places that are close enough to walk to.

3 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: Financial aid office is helpfull

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There is not much to do. But Chattanooga is not too far...

5 College Junior

Scholarships: There are many great scholarships available. There is a specific scholarship that you automatically receive when you average a 3.7 GPA per semester. Which is $2,000. It is great. There are academic scholarships that you can only receive based on your highest SAT scores in high school. Those are great and can even cover full tuition.

Lee University prides itself in the involvement it has with students. Teachers and students can talk to each other and get personal attention in the classroom and during office hours. Lee is not such a big school that you cannot get personal interaction during the day. The faculty is very interested in the individual students and making sure the student is getting the most out of his or her learning. Lee also assigns an individual faculty adviser to each student that helps guide the student through academic choices and picking classes. Moreover, if a student is going through a rough time and feels like he or she needs help, there are a variety of school mental health counselors with whom the students can meet for free by appointment.

The school seeks to foster young adults who are not only capable in the classroom, but are well-rounded people. In each class, before the lesson begins, the teachers sometimes give a small devotional and open up the room for prayer requests. This is a good way for students to be able to open up in class and receive prayer for their needs. Since Lee is a private Christian school, it is allowed to do so, and many students enjoy this aspect of class. Those who hold religious beliefs that are different from those of the school are treated with equal respect in the classroom and generally do not mind the prayer since they know the school is Christian-based when they apply.
