4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Online courses are great when you have children. Also studying on your own is nice. I took diet and nutrition and absolutely loved it.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: My instructor shows us YouTube videos and doesn't even have the courtesy to have them selected before class. We spend more time looking for videos than we do watching them. This instructor is more than well-versed in his field of expertise but id not a great instructor.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am disappointed in many of the instructors. I believe the burden of learning is on the student but having someone who is well-prepared and has a class plan is better equipped to teach than someone who wings it or surfs the web.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have received better assistance in my overall goals and plans from the financial aid department than anywhere else in this process. When I said I was not getting my money's worth, I was commenting on the quality of some of the instructors. I could be learning so much more if I had instructors that were committed to teaching.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I find most of my instructors unprepared and unprofessional. I have attended two semesters and of the instructors I have had, out of a total of eight, three have cared about their subject and were willing to teach. The others are dismal, at best.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: There are no athletics and campus activities are limited. I have attended a fall BBQ and a tax presentation. Both were well-attended.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Everything is good in this department.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have had no problems as I am retired. I plan to use the education I get to reenter the workplace.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: This was my first online class and I was nervous about taking one. This turns out to be the highlight of this semester.

The instructor is excided about his subject and it shows.

The quality of the recordings of the classes is terrible and much is lost.

2 College Junior

Facilities: I decided to come back to school because I had been downsized three times in four years. I wanted to gain new skills and learn about green energy so I could be a contributing factor for the environment in the workplace. What I found was teachers who show YouTube Videos instead of teaching, teachers that would rather surf the web during class than teach, and teachers that only are there for the paycheck.

I am a work study student and the department head I work for is exemplary, but I fear she is the exception to the rule.

3 College Junior

Student Body: I find the new teaching methods to be divisive. We do not get to know any of the other students or the instructors. Everyone works at their own pace and there is little communication between them. The person next to you may or may not be on the same level of learning so a shared experience is unlikely.

Instructors are only there to answer specific questions not explain theories or principles behind the work being done.

3 College Junior

Career Services: This is not what I thought it was. I am upset about the education, or lack of, I am receiving.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid dept. is very helpful with the process and answering all questions. They seem to be very efficient.

3 College Senior

Student Body: Most of the student body seem to be interested in their program and serious about their studies.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: They do have some good instructors here. I have not started my program yet (still working on my prerequisites) but most of the instructors are as helpful as possile.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Nursing is my intended major. Right now I am finishing up my prerequisites so I have not started my program yet.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: As of now, I am in general classes until I meet the requirements for my field of study.

4 College Junior

Career Services: Being a technical college, they really prepare you for real world job opportunities.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: So far the process has been great as far as class registration and communication among students.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: I can't recall a time that I had major issues with the computer network. I mean there has been the usually slow systems or the e-mail does not work but that is a common problem everywhere.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: It is a very convenient school to attend. I work Full-Time and can still got to school in the evening, which has worked out great.

3 College Senior

Student Body: There are students from every walk of life at this school. There are older people and younger people. People vary in sexual, ethinical, and economical ways. Everyone seems to get along and works well with each other despite the many differences.

Campus Resources: They make every effort to make sure there are computers available to everyone. Free printing is within reason. It never hurts to have your own computer.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The administration holds Health and Resource Fairs to make students aware of resources that are available for the students and community. We have a library, student center and there is a track, hiking trail, and beautiful area around the college for walking and running.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The school tries to prepare students for the work environment by building work ethics. That is so important because you can be the top in your field but if you have no work ethic and are unable to be supportive in the work environment, it detracts from your value as an employee.
