3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The network and computer access is great, but there could be more printing options available.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Lane has an outstanding Early Childhood Education program, with very knoledgable instuctors and staff. There is an on site lab school, so students get great in class experience.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The flexability of the times classes are oftered has worked extreamly well with my schedule as a single mom of two boys.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Lane is a great place to be. It is student friendly and accomidating. They have many resourses available to help students through their time here at the college.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I like on-line class convinence, but tend to get more out of working in class. I learn better from multiple types of information, not just reading. But, the instructors are always helpful and accessable through e-mail.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition at my school isn't bad. I didn't have any problems applying for and receiving financial aid. I do have to say that I do not like the system for dispersing the financial aid. LCC uses Higher One, and I really dislike them. There are so many ways to get charged fees and it is difficult to get your money without using Higher One.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I wish I would have gone to LCC when I was choosing a school straight out of high school. The smaller class sizes would have been a better introductory college experience rather than going straight into the University of Oregon where I was sometimes in massive lecture halls sitting next to strangers I might never see again.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I love the library at Lane Community College. Our librarians are very helpful, and there are a ton of computers to use. You can also check out laptops and textbooks to borrow while in the library.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I've never had any trouble connecting to the network at Lane. We use our same student # and password for the network, the library's online databases, off campus database access and Moodle. It's very convenient.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: A lot of the students at LCC are older. There is great diversity in people's backgrounds. In my spanish class, my table seats a 17 year old student, a single mother in her 30s, and young mother in her early 20's, and myself, a student who worked for 10 years before returning to college.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: So far getting my needed classes has worked out pretty well. I have been able to always get into my classes, though sometimes my schedule isn't ideal with my work life.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I have mostly been taking gen ed requirements, so I don't have much of an opinion. This spring I will begin taking courses specific to my degree. I will have a better idea by then.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Most of the professors I have had have been great! I have had a few bad experiences with only 2 professors so far. 1 teacher seemed to play favoritism to students with military backgrounds and I have an instructor this term that lost 10 of her students midterms including my own over a month ago, and still has yet to make a decision as how to factor that into her grading.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I am an undergrad, so I have not had any experience with this. Also Lane Community College does not have a bachelor's program so I don't believe this is applicable.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Lane Community College has a great music lab. Although I am not a musician, I am impressed with their professional recording studio. The students in the performing arts building seem very happy. I also like our culinary arts program. They have a dining room that serves 3 course meals at an affordable price. Our school also now has a food pantry, where students can get free food to supplement their food. We also have a clothing exchange for free clothing and a place to donate clothing. These programs are great help for students living on a small budget.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I did not enjoy the online-only class I took. I do, however really like hybrid classes. I like doing my homework online and participating in forums without having to give up in class lectures and discussions.
