Academic Flexibility: I love attending lamar orange.

Career Services: The post-grade service at Lamar State Collage-Orange is wonderful. The collage is very prompt about posting final grades and reviewing the semester with the students here.

Campus Resources: The library is very aesthetically pleasing and the technology on campus is up to date. There are a wide variety of campus activities to engage the students in participating outside of the classroom.

Campus Resources: The computer labs are available in all of the buildings. The wireless access is reliable. Printing is available campus wide and I have not to use technical support this semester. The tutorials available online are easy to use and understand.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I was able to transfer credits without any problems and the staff was most helpful at answering any questions that I had.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I have not worked with the career center or alumni network so I can not comment on their quality.

Online Courses: I have not taken online courses at this campus but I have taken online courses before and they are completely different from the traditional class experience. The workload is greater, registration is the same but I find that online courses require more time than traditional classes which is a turn off because most students take online classes who don't have enough time to attend traditional classes

Overall Experience: The experience has been favorable. I would attend school here again because of the preparation that I am receiving before I enter the nursing field. The class size is a great attraction. The instructors have made this a positive learning experience and for that I am thankful.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have had trouble because I have taken so many classes and now find myself in a financial bind. It seems as though I have very few options left to pay for school. Thankfully I know how to navigate the financial aid process. My only regret is taking so long to finish school.

Academic Experience: I believe that a large portion of the student body is attended this school under my major. It's a comfort to know that so many other students understand the struggle of balancing the workload with life. It good to be able to relate to other students and share our stress and frustration. The facility is structured to offer help and encourage success in the student body.

Academic Experience: I specifically chose to attend here because of the reputation of the LVN program. The class sizes are small and the registration process was easy. The Director of Nursing is very involved with our education and knows the students by name. The curriculum is fast paced and I feel that it is preparing us for the reality of the field that we be entering into.

Student Body: Because so many of the students that attend class here commute from several surrounding cities, the student population is very diverse. The Staff offers events through out the school year to engage students and encourage participation and interaction between different departments of study.

Facilities: We have a new building for Nursing and it is state of the art. We have learned quite a lot in a relatively short time! The simulation lab is very helpful along with the faculty and staff. My Instructors have a wealth of information and experience to share with us. It is all encouraging to us as students.

Academic Experience: I am working on my basics, and my online courses are great for that. It allows be the time and flexibility to get other things done, but still continue working toward getting my degree.

Academic Experience: I had one professor that was not prompt with returning our work to study for exams during a summer online classes, and it was very challenging and frustrating. Other than that, my professors have been prompt in returning my work and keeping me informed.

Online Courses: This is my fourth online course so I was prepared. I think all my professors have for the most part been very well knowledgeable and very helpful. The workload along with other things can be a bit tough since I haven't finished high school yet, but I enjoy the experience.

Student Body: The students I interact with are dual credit students at my high school. They are very eager to learn and push themselves to do the best they can to excel in their classes. Many are involved in extra-curricular activities, working jobs, and all the while finishing up their high school classes. All of them are seeking for a better education and to achieve it.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I'm returning after 20 years, so the fresh start is refreshing.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: There is a lot of diversity at the school. But we need higher technology.

Campus Resources: I love lamar orange. The only bad thing I have to say is about the cafeteria. It is rather small wit few options. When you spend most of your time somewhere you woul like more options. I like the gym even though there is few machines. And I like the Rec room!!

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Lamar State College - Orange does not have a Biology major. The closest degree plan is the Natural Science degree plan, which does not coincide with Biology at all. I have looked up the required courses to complete a Biology degree at my transfer school and am taking all the classes available at LSC-O before transferring to a four year university.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The online courses are wonderful and easy to use. Would use an A+, but the online server does use quite a bit of bandwidth. I think it could be streamlined. But, I really approve of the awesome back-up system they have. Great server overall.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Poor class scheduling and inefficient administration are my only complaints.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The teacher ratio is good. When help is needed they are there.
