5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I would definitely choose my school over any other school. I wish it was considered a University so i could also recieve my Bachelors from there too. I never want to attend another school.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have not been in the situtation to have to transfer anything.

Academic Experience: The workload is supposed to be very intense. I have not actually started my program yet though. I know the teachers are very helpful but also expect very much from students in the program.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It is a technical school , so options on diverse careers are a bit limited now but they seem to be growing and adding new degree plans.

Career Services: LIT is the best college to go to if you want a job when you get out of college.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The process of receiving financial aid is not usually an enjoyable experience. The only fault that LIT has is that they need more people working the department and a bigger office. I have waited 3 hours before even able to enter the actual office, which only has four chairs to sit, there is usually about 20+ people lined out the door for that office. The workers are really great though, and try to figure out what you need to do so you can get everything submitted and paid for.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I really did not enjoy my online course very much. But it depends on the teacher who controls the course. The system itself was very useful.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Lamar Institue of Technology are granted access to all of Lamar University's recreation centers. The gym is amazing and very modern. The cafeteria is a buffet with wonderful food that is very inexpensive with your college ID. The student center has a very relaxed environment suitable for different activites.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The internet access is great at LIT but we are required to pay for each page we print, but we can walk to Lamar University up to thousands of pages for free?

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: I find that most of the faculty and teachers are more caring at this college than in most. The family-vibe is what makes it different from other schools

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: I like that the Student Body is relatively small but also very diverse. The students are mostly very friendly and down to earth. A new student should not have much trouble fitting in anywhere on campus. Every person is so different but come together for the common goal of having a better education. This is a very important factor and I am glad the college i go to functions in this manner.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love my school. The classes are smaller. There is a more personal level with your teachers than any other college.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I have many opportunities available to me including internship and job opportunities that would not be presented to me anywhere else.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: There are many programs to choose from. The workload is only too much if you make it. The teachers are more than willing to work with you if you work with them.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Lamar has many things to offer. There is never a dull moment at school and there is plenty of school spirit

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I love online courses. I can do them at my own pace and the instructors make sure they keep in contact with us and answer all our questions.

4 College Junior

Career Services: There is always job fairs at our school and they go out of their way to place you when you get out of school. All you have to do is your part!!

College Junior

Career Services: I have no clue due to the fact that I plan on leaving LIT in the fall of 2014.

1 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: My experience at LIT has been horrible. I was a transfer from Arizona and no one would help me with anything and the people at the cashier and finical aid are very unprofessional. The instructors are okay some really have a passion and some don't unfortunately. Also it makes no sense in why Lamar is right across the street and all the credits do not transfer over. Now I have to stay at LIT a whole semester to get my credits to transfer. They make it so difficult. The school is really should re vamp there system.

2 College Junior

Student Body: The reason I gave them a "C" on the student body at LIT is because they have a lot of younger African Americans that seem to not be waiting anything more in life. It's really sad that they all huddle in groups and talk rudely and make comments about people seem to be very immature there. It basically is like being in high school all over again.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computer network has always worked for me. It's always up to speed and I never had problems printing.

4 College Junior

Student Body: There are people of many ethnicities at LIT. I have encountered many white people, African-American people, Indian people, and quite a few Asian people.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Between LIT and Lamar, there are bookstores, a recreational center, student centers, cafeterias, etc.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The value of my education is definitely worth what has been paid for it, especially since I have the potential to make a lot of money with the degree I am working on getting.
