2 College Senior

Academic Experience: The professors are great and easily reachable if they are full time. Some of the part time professors can be difficult to reach. The registration process is smooth (online or in person). I wish there was greater course availability and variety of times. I started a new job this year and it has been really hard to find classes that coordinate with my work schedule.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I decided to go to a community college because it is more practical monetarily while I determine a career path. Lake Tahoe Community College provides a unique atmosphere for students to learn and grow. As a smaller school, it provides a greater sense of community.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Great Student/Professor Involement – What I most enjoy about LTCC is the ability to ask questions, and talk with the professors one on one. Everyone is understanding and the professors genuinely care for the students and their education.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Good Selection – There is a very good and varied selection of online courses at LTCC. All of the classes have very interesting subject matter, but the curricula leaves a little to be desired.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Overall Academic Are Okay – Instructors are usually pretty good about making sure you understand the material but you have to put in the effort to let them know you need help first. The tutoring center is very helpful for any class. Some classes seem to be watered down and too easy in order to cater to the older population of people who aren't taking classes necessarily to transfer anywhere or get any type of degree.
