Campus Resources: Love the Biology Departmen – I can not say enough about the staff in the biology department. Although the classes are some of the hardest I have ever experienced, I am please to say that I have never learned more from one department in my whole life. The teachers are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. My experience with them has been awesome.

Academic Flexibility: Happy to Be Enrolled – I am happy to be enrolled at Lake Tahoe Community College. This is a seasonal location and I feel as if the staff make every effort to accommodate the working persons schedule. I had to trouble with transferring my records and everyone has been more than willing to help when the need arises.

Campus Resources: As you walk through this campus you definitely get a feel for Tahoe. The people are relaxed and happy, the book store is amazing and stocked with everything you need, the campus gym in up to date and utilized well. We even did an experiment in my microbiology class and lets just say that the bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen. This is a wonderful campus to relax at between classes.

Campus Resources: Pleased to Be Here – I am pleased to be at Lake Tahoe Community College. It is a smaller school but strives to keep up with an ever changing world. I have recently been enrolled in their online classes and have been pleased with the technology and the teachers. I was able to do everything that I needed to do without complication.

1 College Junior

Career Services: the only real option to attending LTCC is transferring.

1 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Run Around – every semester I go in to do my aid, I am stressed and overwhelmed. They get the work done, but they seem more interested in other people all the time. Not too happy about it.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: I do not think the staff is very helpful at this college so I am not as knowlegable as I could be on this subject.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: I have had a great experiance with online classes. the teachers are great. It is just like being in an actual classroom.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My School – My school is very flexibale with personal scheduals.

1 College Junior

Student Body: A Bit Mean – everyone here is kind of rude, and a little standoffish. Not very school oriented, and very clique. Not too much fun!

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Transfer Program – LTCC makes transferring a breeze! They set you up with everything you need to know about transferring, and let you know which classes you will need to complete at LTCC to get into a different school and get a bachelors! Honestly, the best program ever!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Ease Into a "Real" School – Lake Tahoe Community college is surely not a bad choice to get your Associates at. It ha extremely cheap tuition, but a very elegant school. The down side is I still feel like I'm in High School, and LTCC is a little to laid back for me.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Good Selection – There is a very good and varied selection of online courses at LTCC. All of the classes have very interesting subject matter, but the curricula leaves a little to be desired.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am still in the process of communicating with the school about financial aid. It has taken longer than expected.

2 College Senior

Student Body: Big Age Gap – LTCC has a majority of students who are just there to take classes for fun or because they're just curious about a subject. There isn't a huge amount of young college age students which makes it hard sometimes to meet people your own age to hangout with or get to know. Most people who aren't local are just there to ski or snowboard while taking some classes. There isn't much of a student life, a lot of people just go to class then go home.

2 College Senior

Online Courses: Not Exactly Enthralling – I've only taken 1 online course so far and it's on okay. Pretty much the instructor has us read the chapters and then do the exercises at the end of the chapter to type up and turn into him. It has gotten very dull, very fast.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Overall Academic Are Okay – Instructors are usually pretty good about making sure you understand the material but you have to put in the effort to let them know you need help first. The tutoring center is very helpful for any class. Some classes seem to be watered down and too easy in order to cater to the older population of people who aren't taking classes necessarily to transfer anywhere or get any type of degree.
