Online Courses: I had art history as an online course. I decided to take this course because in my Intro to Architecture course where we learned a bit of Architectural history, I didn't do very well. Taking this course I had more access and exposure to a lot more information and this really helped me a lot. It was a lot of reading and research but I did very well in this course because I was able to move at my own pace.

Online Courses: Well for a first time post high school student the web page was quite easy to navigate. The classes were easily accessible and the professors were friendly and caring.

Online Courses: Not the Same – I tend to try and not take online classes due to the experiences I have had with them in the past. The main problem that I have had with them is that many teachers do not present the material that they are teaching very well and in the end I feel that I learned very little. Professor/student relationships I find are very good. The teachers will respond to comments or questions in a very timely manner.

Online Courses: Have Self Discipline – I was super nervous about taking online classes because I tend to procrastinate. After taking them for two semesters now, I prefer them to tradition classes. It's very nice that I can check in on sunday night or monday, know what I'm doing for the week and get it out of the way right away so I can free my week for other things. As long as you log in every day to check for updates, they are a piece of cake.

Online Courses: I completed my AA completely online. LSC is a public, fully accredited school (part of MNSCU), so my degree has value and was no problem to transfer!
I never once had to step foot on campus. The professors are quick to reply and very supportive and helpful.
Some professors allow you to test at home, others require midterms and finals to be proctored, but proctoring can be done at your convenience at a location close to you.
Email and discussion boards allow you to connect and get to know other students which is another great feature!
