Student Body: We have a very diverse student body at our school and a cultural center to match. We have activities oriented at all areas of students, eg. gay rights. We celebrate Gay Pride Week and I am sure it makes these students feel more a part of everything. I think it is wrong if ANYONE has to hide who they are because they are afraid of what others might think.
I have a couple of women in my class that are mothers and we connect. It makes it a little easier for me hearing how they deal with school, work and children.

Online Courses: I had art history as an online course. I decided to take this course because in my Intro to Architecture course where we learned a bit of Architectural history, I didn't do very well. Taking this course I had more access and exposure to a lot more information and this really helped me a lot. It was a lot of reading and research but I did very well in this course because I was able to move at my own pace.

Facilities: The last community college I went to (12 years ago) didn't really have a cultural center of any kind. I like the fact this school does and they have quite a few 'expos' honoring different cultures such as food tasting, clothing etc. There a lot of social activities happening on a weekly basis. I don't have much time to attend these, however, because of being a single parent.

Academic Flexibility: The only problem I have really ran into is being able to stay in the classroom to work on a project because of another class coming in. There are only a few areas in the school that have the program I need to work on my projects with. We have, however, been giving access for free to download a student version of the program but I had to buy a new computer as my other one didn't have enough memory.

Academic Experience: I know that Architecture, weather a registered architect or just a technician, is a very good field to get into. We will never stop building. Nor will we never stop in trying to build the best homes and other buildings that are energy efficient, self sustaining, and/or green. We have been able to attend seminars and expos that would have been very expensive but because we are students we were able to go for minimal cost (paid by the school) or free. The work load can be intense but it is a good challenge that I look forward to.

Academic Experience: Our school has MANY different programs. The Generals that are required for each degree can take a semester which gives time to change degrees if you're not sure which one to go for or just change your mind. All of the instructors I have had have been very helpful as far as working with anyone who has a problem outside of school that may cause problems during the semester. (I had this happen twice and my instructor was very understanding and it could have been very detrimental to my grades had he not worked with me.)

Tuition & Financial Aid: Sometimes I think there are too many lectures but that can really save money on books. We have an excellent instructor and I have learned a lot from these lectures.
I am so glad to have the financial aid available to me. I am a single parent and having a hard time finding a job that will work around my school schedule so it helps me pay the rent, other bills, clothes for the kids and myself, and other necessities that just cant be gone without. Filing for financial aid is fairly simple and the colleges you choose are very prompt in replying and helping with registration and other forms as well. I live in a different state than where my college is and if they hadn't told me about and helped me file for reciprocity I would be paying twice as much for my classes than I am now.

Career Services: I only say ok because I haven't had the opportunity to check out these areas but being in my final semester I will be checking them out. I do know they have many boards around the school where available jobs are posted and these change frequently with different jobs available.

Campus Resources: We have many different areas at our school we are allowed to access for free because we are students, such as the wellness center. I have gone and exercised and been seen in the dental clinic. They will take people from the outside at the clinic for a minimal fee but as a student I can have my teeth cleaned for free. It is a great way (this and other areas) to help out other students as they are learning at the same time I am having these necessary services done for free. When your a student living off financial aid this is a blessing. We have quite a large library, a few different computer labs, a computer club who will fix computers for free usually, there are different activities going on every week, a cultural center as we have a very diverse student body, a tutoring center for help in most subjects and I believe that most students utilize all of these services.

Campus Resources: The network is good for students. When enrolled each student is given an amount of space for storing projects and other school related items. We are all assigned our own e-mail address and student access ID and PW to keep our work private. I did have to remove items from my space because I kept too much from the first two semesters and ran out of space but it wasn't work I needed anyway - I only used for reference - so I put it on a flash drive and cleaned out my space. All in all I think the network is great. I would have liked to have been able to access my work from home but then I guess I might not have saved it on a flash drive and would have lost it if the school system crashed.

Overall Experience: My class started out fairly large and we are now down to 3 students. I'm not sure why but I think it is because a lot of the students that were in classes in the first and second semesters were taking their generals and choose a couple of the classes to fulfil these required extra courses.
Our instructor/advisor is a registered Architect and is very intelligent and a very good instructor. He has had a lot of experience in this field and actually started his career at this same school. My experience at this school has been awesome! Having an instructor/advisor who is so well versed in this field has been an excellent learning experience and I would recommend this program to anyone who is interested. When you have a teacher who has such a passion for his field it makes the experience so much better.

Student Body: It seems to me that all the aviation students are very fun and smart and out going.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I feel that LSC has a lot of work to do to get the aviation program up to par with other schools that offer an aviation program.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: My experience with all that has been fine. I have been able to get into classes I sign up for and my instructors are very knowledgable.

2 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: well the aviation program has a cost but it doesn't seem to pertain to my education. At times it is higher than expected and the next time it is crazy high from what they quoted me. Their numbers are always fluctuating.

2 College Junior

Career Services: I really don't have any idea of post grad services. My CFIs tell me that networking is the key to a job in aviation.

Campus Resources: So far I have found everything that I have needed relating to student resources.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: They have nice technology and fast wifi.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Its been pretty good, but their program feels like they hve no idea of whats going on and they prices they quoted me change all the time. I would choose this school again but make sure that they have all the kinks worked out first. Aviation program.

3 College Junior

Facilities: I like that they have an aviation program.

Online Courses: Well for a first time post high school student the web page was quite easy to navigate. The classes were easily accessible and the professors were friendly and caring.

College Senior

Facilities: I am 100% online student I have gone to the campus less than 5 times.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I love my college! The instructors all answer their emails quickly. I am 100% online so my interactions with them is limited to email but I have not had a bad experience with an instructor!

Campus Resources: My college has an excellent library!!! It has several private study rooms, excellent online databases, and very knowledgeable librarians. I am not fully impressed with their athletic center. It is small and mainly booked for other gym classes. They do have very friendly staff who are all trained to not only help inform students how to use the equipment that is available but also how to help those who may have gotten hurt while using the equipment.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: My college's computer system is great, but the main issue is that they change the "look" of their online campus almost every month to two months. These frequent alterations make online classes a little bit harder to stay on top of because you have to take the time to relearn how to navigate around the website. Other than that, my college has plenty of computers for students to use, low printing rates, as well as relatively fast WiFi.
