Majors: Great program. Brand new apple desktops every year loaded with all current software and access to studios on weekends and nights. Small class sizes, wonderful opportunities for growth with company sponsored classes (past sponsors include nike, vans, watg). Instructors will go out of the way to help you if you ask for it and work hard...great school that helps you get a job

Majors: There are student teaching positions at LCAD for graduate students, however I have not yet participated. I intend to next semester. It pays $1000 per semester and goes towards tuition. I have heard nothing but positive reviews from my fellow students who have served as TA's, and such a position can lead to a teaching position after graduation. I have not sought other internships so far, but I would welcome the opportunity.

Majors: I am very happy with the painting program at LCAD. I would definitely do it over again if given the chance. The instructors are all very inciteful as are my fellow students. A true sense of comradery is present there and the student body from many diverse backgrounds is brought together with a common love of the arts. My ultimate goal for earning my masters degree is twofold. First of all, I wish to continue my learning and developement I began with my bachelors at Cal State Fullerton. I don't think an artist can fully develop his or her skills in a vacuum. I would also like the opportunity to teach art at the college level, and an MFA is required for that as well. I am concerned about finding work in that field because I've been told jobs are scarce at the moment, however, I am good at this and I need to pursue the field I love.
