Computers: LCAD wants your laptop to be glued to you at all times. They send out emails all the time about events that are happening, along with messages sent out by the chair of your major concerning meetings, special events, etc etc. And it' looks like a mac based school, but if you seriously cannot afford a mac or already have a laptop. YOU REALLY AREN'T INCLINED TO BUY ONE. It's just highly recommended since it will make file transfers from the school comps to your computer less of a pain (Eg: working on an assignment on a school mac computer, then transferring it to a windows could corrupt the file). The printing costs for each days are practically nothing. they allow each student 10 prints each day, and the tech support here is pretty good here as well. I was able to borrow a USB drive from them when I forgot mine for a class.

Computers: I like all the macs around.

Computers: The computers at LCAD are up-to-date with the professional field of Graphic Design. LCAD offers programs that no other campus in the nation offers such as the complex animation and design program known as Maya.

Computers: LCAD has top of the line Mac pro computers. The school's undergrad emphasis on illustration and graphic design requires nothing but the best, which is an added benefit for those of us who work in traditional media. LCAD has exellent scanners and large format epson printers as well as plenty of standard printers for regular documents. The network is faster then mine at home and I always have the internet access I need.
