Off-Campus Dining: There are a couple great local places within a 10min walk of campus that serve great food at good prices and are really friendly (Q's, Innkeepers, The Landmark, Baked, Iron Spike, etc). There are also a few expensive local places if one wants to splurge for a date or something like that (Packing House, Chez Willy's). There are a few chain restaurants within walking distance too (Papa John's, Casey's etc).

Most of the chain places are a tiny bit far for a walk but not undo-able and you might want to walk the 20mins to burn some calories. Main St has a Subway, DQ, KFC, Taco Bell, McDonalds etc. Alfano's is a local place in main that delivers and their stuffed bread sticks and a huge favorite of students, esp. later in the night on weekends.

Henderson is the other popular street and it has repeats of all the chains on Main St, plus Dominoes, Steak & Shake (27/4), Wendy's, Long John Silver's, Apple-bees etc. Henderson also has a few local places, including a great Mexican place and a nice Italian place too.

There are lots of options.

The last place that I went to is new and is called En Season. They're a sustainable restaurant and only serve meats and vegetables/fruit that are in season - this makes sure that prices are very reasonable and everything is fresh and delicious. One could have dinner for two, including dessert for about $30. It's a great place and you could walk but it'd be a 20-30min walk.

Off-Campus Dining: Pretty much all the closely-located off-campus dining is in the form of lovely small businesses. They're great, and have great food, but being in rural Illinois, if you're looking for, say, Indian, you're kinda out of luck.

Off-Campus Dining: People do not often eat off-campus aside from when parents come to visit. There are a couple of spots in town that people go to (The Landmark is the nicer one and the only one that I am familiar with). The only time I eat off campus is if we go further into town to Steak n Shake or other fast food places; there are many fast food places but they are inconvenient and can only be reached by car.

Off-Campus Dining: Galesburg has a variety of dining options, some within walking distance of campus. There are a handful of places that deliver to campus as well. There are a lot of chain restaurants but also a great variety of local places for students to discover.

Off-Campus Dining: There are not many places in Galesburg, IL near Knox College, but the options that we do have are very diverse and for the most part decent places to eat. Some of my favorite places to go are World Buffet (just a bus ride away) where a variety of food from all the regions of the world are available to try; I also like Landmark, which is walking distance from campus. It has top-notch delicious food and the employees are very nice and welcoming. We also have some staple fast foods, like McDonald's and Taco Bells. Not a lot of options, but good options at that.
