5 College Sophomore

Academics: I am a nursing major at Kennesaw State University and was just accepted into the nursing program. The nursing program at Kennesaw is excellent. They have limited seats so it is very competitive so only the best get in. The nursing program at Kennesaw is very respected and well-known around Atlanta. The workload and curriculum is very heavy and intense, but it will all be worth it to become a nurse!

Drug Safety: I have never been suspicious of anyone on campus to have be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I have never seen any out of control on-campus parties and I have never felt pressured into partaking in activities involving drugs.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Depends on age group. The nightlife is slim to none but that doesnt mean it doesnt exist. Transportation is provided on and off campus but it limited after hours.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The school policies are set in place for the students safety which has a positive affect on students academic and social live.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: There are many academics programs offered and to choose from. The professors are committed and deticated to helping students acheive their academic goals. The campus provide many ways to help with any questions and concerns and provides work study areas and tutors for extra help in academics.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The nursing program is very competive but worth very bit. The workload can be challegening but discpline helps and facilites are designed to help with the curriculum which can be at tmes overwhelming. There are jod fairs which provide internships and other job opportunities and the fair(s) takes place on campus which is convenient.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I am happy with the program or major I have choosen but for it to be such a need it is very challegening. My career goals are to be able to contribute to my communtiy and others assisting them to find what makes them happy and so they too can contribute back to the community. I dont have concerns finding a job in my field because the medical field is a very promising.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Personally have not seen nor expericened drugs and alcohol on campus but it does not mean it doesnt exist. The policies are enforced and is shows. The school offers help with such issues and information

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: the off campus housing is loacted close to campus, safe and convenient. Its great for all ages especially for those who are experincing being on their own for the first time. Would reccommend

3 College Freshman

Transportation: There is nothing to complain about. It gets you to the mall or walmart.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It took a lot of time to get everything situated. It isn't impossible though.

1 College Freshman

Weather: It is way to cold for me. I hate cold weather and that's all there is.

3 College Freshman

Computers: some are a little out of date. Most are fine and work great.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I want to complete my doctorate degree in nursing. I will have no problem finding a job.

3 College Freshman

Majors: It is the most competitive major in the whole school.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: There is nothing to really complain about. It is fine.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The buildings are nice and updated. A downside is driving to class and using gas. The prices are way too high. They have easy to access off campus housing links on our school website. The parking is fine. The safety is great. The landlords seem fine. There are a million different off campus housing options to choose from at Kennesaw State University. I have a few friends who live off campus and they love everything but the cost.

2 College Freshman

Nightlife: There is nothing to do and no cabs to take from campus.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There has been no crime this year. We get text messages and emails to let us know if anything is going on.

3 College Freshman

Academics: The curriculum is reasonable and the facilities are wonderful.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of options to choose from but I prefer to save money and eat on campus.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid officers are almost always friendly and helpful.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The new facility they are building is supposed to be AMAZING. I'm very excited for it!

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Some of the places are great, some are not. It's pretty much just luck of the draw. Do your research beforehand and you will be fine. The ones with less rules tend to have more drug/alcohol activity (and thus things like theft, etc.) than the ones with stricter rules.

4 College Freshman

Computers: While its definitely beneficial to have a laptop (there is Wifi everywhere), there are options for computer use on campus. The only time it's really hard to get a computer is during finals or registration week. There are also "mini labs" of 3-5 computers scattered around campus (often within the departments); you just have to know where to look.
