Off-Campus Housing: ***STEER CLEAR of The Collegiate! The leasing agents will tell you anything to get you to sign the lease---INCLUDING that the lease is NOT in affect until you put your money down---NOT when/if you sign it. Then try to change your mind and BAM! You signed!!

My leasing agent lied about just about EVERYTHING! Security officers were supposed to be RESIDENTS and on duty 24 hours where in reality, from January to July there were NONE responding to calls! The county police dept had to be called.

MARIJUANA stench is as common all through the complex as air is plentiful---the office does nothing about it. Current security officers ARE working on it, but not hard enough.

We had NO POOL from 6 pm to 8 AM from May to July 8. The office amenities----computer lab, and pool table are NOT AVAILABLE from the time the office closes till it opens in the morning. The gym is NO WHERE as nice as photos make it look---they were photographed at an angle where equipment looks doubled!

UTILITIES ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH HERE FOR ENERGY STAR APPLIANCES which are 1 year old!

Facilities: ...you really do need to see it and experience it to believe it! We have been consistently growing in our 50 years beginning in 1963 as Kennesaw College!

Majors: Be the best! If you want into our nursing program----get your T score HIGH...

make yourself stand out. This goes for business college too....interview your school of discipline before enrolling

Majors: internships are available in an array of credit hours ---some are paid (co-ops) and some are unpaid. See the dean of your discipline or inquire in your major office for details, some vary...

Health & Safety: Our campus RARELY makes the news in negative areas. It is basically very safe, I have walked around at night alone and feel secure yet take safe measures too---eye contact, speaking to passersby...

We also have women's defense classes offered by KPD/DPS ----also for men too!

Campus Strictness: Pretty lax, there are not usually any known problems...cause a problem and get trouble

Campus Housing: We have brand new dorms. The oldest are less than 10 to 15 years old. Most (exception would be freshman dorms) are set up that you "rent" your bedroom which has a private bath inside, share kitchen, living room and balcony. Moderately priced and utilities are included with limits on amounts, go over the limit and the bill is split by number of room mates in the apartment. They are furnished with living room furniture (ON CAMPUS does not provide televisions), kitchen usually is snack bar style with bar stools, beds, dressers, and desks w/ chair.

Guys & Girls: I refuse to "judge" so I just have to say they are as diversified as students who are heterosexual! Some are smarter than others, some are more dramatic than others, some are not dramatic at all, many are very spiritual/religious, most are friendly as is about everyone on our campus----

Diversity: We are all learning about cultural differences, religious differences, ethnic, political, economic background---or lack there of, and sexual orientation is celebrated. We have a GLBT organization and participate in the Gay Pride Parade in Atlanta.

We are not perfect, but with education and exposure we are closing the gap and learning to accept that we all are different in many ways.

Academics: Topics vary from Intro 1101 to senior seminar 4400. Difficulty is expected, it is Psychology! Curriculum prepares us for graduate school. Registration is assigned my class status giving seniors first priority. Work load increases as class difficulty increases---that is how material is learned and acquired. There are many student study groups, teaching assistants (T.A's) and our own computer/writing lab. Instructors go the extra mileS to help us when asked.

Academics: Doctors in the Psychology department are dedicated and very concerned about our success. They are the best anywhere!!

Greek Life: I do not know, I am not active in Greek societies. I also do not know about special housing or how easy/difficult it is to be accepted into a frat/sorority.

Overall Experience: We have the BEST instructors regardless of Doctor or Professor----adjunct or otherwise on ANY campus ANYWHERE!

I have personally had teachers who have gone way out of their way to ensure that I am/we are successful not only in the classroom but in the real world. I have witnessed our instructors PAY STUDENT'S TUITION to keep them in school, one of the teachers GAVE a student her/his car, the praises continue on and on and on...

OUR TEACHING STAFF IS BETTER THAN THE BEST!

Class sizes vary depending on what course it is. An introductory freshman class can have up to 200 students in a stadium type setting ( or Theater type seating) and on the other hand, I have been in very small classes where there were possibly 20 students.

Class styles vary depending on instructor's personal teaching style. There is normally some sort of group project in at least one or more classes per semester. See our course catalog for courses offered! :D

Overall Experience: We have a full service career services department which aids us in everything from writing a resume, helping us prepare for internships, provides mock interviews, advises us on how to be ready as far as appearance and the list of services continues...it's remarkable!

Athletics: Kennesaw State offers maybe the largest selection of sports for both men and women that I have ever heard of...however; I have never been a "sporty person" and pay little attention to them. Our men's baseball team did win a prestigious award this season.

Football is coming to campus Fall 2015...(I still am unconcerned)

Campus Dining: I get sick every time I eat at The Commons on campus. The food is either bland or salty----those are the options. I have found conditions dirty and the kitchen staff to be very offensive when this is brought to their attention. Do not apply to work there, the staff is verbally abusive to the student employees in public. I have witnessed scenes that were both unprofessional and unnecessary.

Juice fountains/dispensers are turned off after breakfast leaving only milk or sugary soft drinks, and beverages sweetened with NutraSweet.

Campus Housing: I have never lived on this campus.

Health & Safety: The Kennesaw State Police have a strong presence on our campus.

Off-Campus Housing: There are many different options in the area with varying price ranges.

Majors: I have not had an internship, but I plan to have one before I start my student teaching and I really do not have any concerns with finding an internship because my school really helps you with situations like this
