College Junior

Online Courses: I am not currently taking the online courses

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid dept was helpful to fill out my fafsa as well as to provide websites to apply for scholarships. I can walk into the office at anytime and they are happ to help me.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I have found many friends at school. We get together to study for tests. We all have different qualities and experiences. There is never a dull moment.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far my instructor is great. He explains everything in a way I can understand. The staff is friendly and there are so may opportunities to take advantage of in order to do well in school, as well as to find work during your education and to start your carreer once you have completed your education.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Although I already knew I wasn't going to get approved for grant from the government the financial aid office was super nice and went step by step with me to complete everything and still helped me get some money to help for tuition. This is something I have not experienced at the other three schools I went too.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The staff is super helpful and the environment overall is great. It's very comfortable and everyone there is always there to help you when you need it.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: There is a lot of emphasis on professional conduct, appearance, promptness. Many young adults need to be aware of the importance of professional conduct because they may newly out of high school. This has been a area I have watched Kaplan help.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I couldn't use my clinical hours. But it was not because they were not transferable, the disbursement made my payment too high when it came to financial aid.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: My experience has been extremely good. I left the school with a medical problem and returned. While I was out the students, teacher, and director kept up with my progress. The program is hard, it is an accelerated program. I will tell you it is thorough. Passing the NCLEX will be hard and Kaplan will help you pass. I ask the teacher many questions and she is always available. No public school teacher ever gave me as much personal attention. I love the education I am receiving.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: There is great diversity at the school, it ranges from all sorts of ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientations.

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe the tuition is fair for the program I'm in.

5 College Freshman

Student Body: Everyone i have had the pleasure of meeting have been great and with a very positve attitude

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: the schedules are very flexible and the instructors are always there to help you. I grade the school an A so far; this is my second semester and i could not have been happier

2 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: they have incorrect imformation regarding my student loans and i didnt qualify for any grants very discouraging

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: i am getting a great education here and i am happy chose kaplan

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: im a x-ray technician major, and the curriculum is great i feel like i am learning a whole new aspect of life i love it here

Campus Resources: Library Is Small – Small library and never very quiet. The break rooms are kind of a dump, most chairs are broken, tables are wobbly and the microwaves are dirty

Campus Resources: It's a for-Profit School, What Do You Expect?? Look, the counselors work on commission so remember that and be sure to ask a lot of questions about the program you are interested in because they are not just going to come out and tell you everything. Like for example, how far are the clinical sites? Understand that locations vary...some are only 10 miles from campus but others are up to 30 miles from campus and you will be going to clinicals (if required for your program) two to three days a week.

Also, with it being a numbers game around here if you have any issues with students in your class being disruptive, disrespectful or even going as far as to become confrontational and aggressive with other student AND faculty members...don't expect them to do anything about it. It is going to be your problem and you are going to have to either deal with it or learn to ignore it. Trust me I am going through that now. They will not expel anyone around here, even if they more than 100% deserve it because they are more worried about the $$ than the well being and safety of their students.

The instructors that I personally have had just read the book to you in class. They don't seem to offer much else in the way of personal experience or any other means of education aside from the text books.

If you can deal with it...the accelerated programs here will get you in and out and off to work quickly. But be advised that at least the 2nd floor (nursing program) is in all kinds of ways messed up.

Campus Resources: 5 Day Schedule – i liked the system they work with its a five day instruction and get 3 days off friday, saturday, and sunday, i love that we get thoughs days off. but basically if class starts on wenesday the 5th day would be wenesday the 4 days are lecture and lab( lab is every day, fast paced classes) and on the 5th day there is alway an exam

Tuition & Financial Aid: Ok School – the administration process wasnt the best they make you sign its all pressured my counseler made me fill out every thing even though i didnt want to because i was still looking and he told me it was find but he signed me up either way so i got stuck there. he was some what friendly but came meaner after i enrolled. Instructor was ok she disliked me since the very first day of class, she retreated me lower than everyone else but whatevers. Class hrs I did like its only 4 hrs and 3 different time periods so that was good, had to drop out but I wouldnt sign up again with my counseler, treated me like a kid hate him dont ever want to see him face again, would with another administrator though

Career Services: Employment Services – All they do is copy and paste what they find on craigslist and send a mass text to all graduates. No personal attention is given. They dont have any pull with any employers. Your better off doing the work yourself. They empahsize job placement assistance at your initial interview to get you to sign up, but once youre actually in that stage, its the farthest thing from that.

Academic Experience: Professors are good for the most part. the counselors only care about their commission.

Online Courses: I recently heard from my academic advisor that i've made the dean's list something i could never do before at a traditional college. Online classes have allowed me to learn at my full potential.

2 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Great Idea, Slow Processing – I love the educational oppurtunities offered by Kaplan, but as someone who recieves financial aid, its been a big hassle from the start. I continuously call and always get a different answer and i have not once talked to the person who is supposedly my financial aid advisor. Things only get done after i have to call consecutively.
