3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The Greek life has no special housing options, most Greek life lives off campus.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: The drug and alcohol usage at JWU is pretty average compared to other colleges. It is a dry campus do there is no drinking on campus at all.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: I am currently on the varsity mens volleyball team and the athletic facilities and fan support could improve. The student involvement and team performance are at a high level of excellence based on their records at the end of each season.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather does not really affect ones experience at JWU because there are so many activities to do and places to go on and off campus.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: There are always computers for somebody to use at JWU, whether it is is the library or in one of the many computer labs around campus. Also, you are able to connect to connect to the wifi from just about anywhere on campus.

1 College Freshman

Academics: Only care about culinary students.

Campus Housing: My roommate bullied me all year and both of my first tri roommates transferred because they hated it so much. You were not allowed to switch or change rooms the RA's do nothing but smoke pot and party and not care the most they'll do for you is a roommate agreement which does nothing. When I came home after thanksgiving break I had a Chinese foreign student in my bed. I was never warned of getting a new roommate and no one had explained to her that she took over my bed and area. It was such a terrible school and such a waste of money. It is so hot it's like a sauna I had the windows wide open in mid January because it is so hot. It is so dirty as well. Showers are terrible and leak all over the floor. Only one towel rack. Everyone slams doors. So loud. There's always floods and the first night of college we were kicked out of our dorms and had to stay on the campus from 3 to 6am and not allowed back in and had to go to class in our pajamas due to a sidewalk blowing up.

Drug Safety: Most of the bars and clubs offer underage drinking. The cops will raid the bar/club but won't make any arrests or changes. The safety guards are usually never around and when they are they have been seen smoking pot out in the open with the students right outside of mcnulty. I have seen many females alone and crying half naked. A few have been in hysterics crying because they had a bad trip. There have been many fights because of drug deals gone wrong. It is a very nasty scene here at Johnson and Wales Providence campus. Very bad and dangerous scene to be apart of.

Facilities: food is horrible especially for a culinary school. I got a moldy burger twice. snowden is much like a cliquey high school cafeteria. people are never nice or friendly.

Local Atmosphere: All scummy, dirty, unfriendly people. Riots happen behind the school without fail every weekend around 1-3am. It's a living hell.

Nightlife: I work 70 hours a week so nightlife is not usually on my list of priorities, however nightlife in Providence, Rhode Island is all what you make of it. Many clubs fill Providence from small intimate clubs to huge multi-story clubs or you can stroll Federal Hill and keep away from the crazy party area and just have a nice night on the town.

Nightlife: Providence is amazing. There are plenty of opportunities to find nightlife and everything is pretty close so transportation is awesome

Majors: This school doesn't look at your SAT scores which is great for those who are not great test takers. They do offer plenty of scholarships and if you do happen to have a good SAT score, you are able to get better academic scholarships. There are no crazy application processes at this school. They make it very easy to apply and you are not intimidated.

Majors: Communication is a new major added for 2013. It has been great to be one of the pioneers and to get to see it take off. The professors are great and very helpful.

Health & Safety: the school is located in a city so there will always be the what if's but overall it is very safe and the campus security is great. you can call them at any time and if needed they will come pick you up.
