1 College Student

Overall Experience: I did not enjoy my time at John Tyler.

3 College Student

Facilities: Overall, John Tyler is just an okay school in all areas. Considering the facilities, the library is really nice, but that's about it,

3 College Student

Student Body: I don't get to know many people here. I go to school and then go straight home.

Tuition & Financial Aid: While John Tyler is cost effective, I really don't think I am getting my money's worth with the professors and course materials required in order to complete the class.

3 College Student

Academic Flexibility: Depends on the class. Some of my weaker professors have loaded me with hours on hours of busy work while other professors give me a reasonable amount of homework with a purpose behind it to help me prepare for exams. It's frustrating signing up for classes because the amount in the classroom is limited.

College Student

Online Courses: I have never had an online course

College Student

Career Services: I have not looked into a post-grad service at John Tyler because I don't plan to finish my studies here.

Academic Experience: I cannot go far here at John Tyler with my major. They only offer a limited amount of courses and soon I am going to have to transfer.

Academic Experience: The professors at John Tyler are awful. Well, MOST of them. The professors do not know how to effectively teach their subject. It's bad to the point where I have to teach myself and go to outside sources to learn the information in order to pass the exams. Given, this does not pertain to ALL professors who are employed at John Tyler. You would expect to go to a college to learn from a graduated, well taught professor who knows the subject like the back of their hand. That's not what they have at John Tyler from my experience here.

Campus Resources: I attend John Tyler in order to get an education. I do not attend anything extracurricular. However, the facilities are nice and well kept. I do go to the library when I have time in-between classes to waste and it is very nice and easy to focus. The librarians are a joy and are very helpful.

Campus Resources: Sometimes the computer networks are faulty, but most of the time they work well.

Online Courses: I took an online class and was surprised how it was just like being in an actual class just minus the people

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: Their are tons of clubs to joins and lots of fun hang out spots

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have no problem with it at all. I always have enough to pay for all my classes and the prices are great and affordable.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: John Tyler has a higher white ethnic group than any other but you still see a mix of everyone there. Acceptance isn't hard because we are a community college so most people are there straight out of high school or working parents.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: John Tyler is always inviting its student to get to know each other some type of way each semester. Also teacher always invite there students to activities they host on campus through their class they are teaching.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Online courses will allow me to work more hours and free up time for me to complete other task that semester. It also give me a sense of responsibility because I have to check my work to make sure its all done and no new assignments where uploaded to blackboard.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Resources on campus are great. They all have trained staff there to help you in anyway you can. Like I said before you get the same experience here like being at a university. So by time you transfer to your university of choose you already know what to expect.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: John Tyler's computer lab is awesome! Internet speed is great. Staff is always there to help you in anyway they can.
