Computers: Great internet. JCU recently upgraded, and I think over ethernet you get more than 30 mbps. Over wifi is pretty solid too, and you get coverage in every building no matter where you are. The computers are plenty fast and there are a lot of them on campus, but during crunch time the labs can get full. Most majors have a dedicated lab that you can gain access to where things are quiet and you can access the software and tools you might need. Off the top of my head, psychology, physics, chemistry and biology all had their own computer labs.

Computers: There weren't many problems with computers besides the poor printing quality.. a lot of the printers were broken often.

3 College Junior

Computers: The wireless network crashes a lot, but most people have their own laptops

3 College Freshman

Computers: Wifi is ok somedays and terrible others. There are computers all over campus.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: There could be improvements to the on campus computers and the awful wi-fi.

The computer labs on campus are fairly accessible, and most are open until 12 a.m. or 3 a.m. Although the wireless network can be found almost anywhere on campus, the speed of the network can be slow sometimes. However, the computers are constantly being updated with new software and run Windows 7. There are also multiple Mac labs located in some of the academic buildings.

Almost all students would agree that bringing a computer, a laptop specifically, is essential. Bringing a printer is not necessary, but it can be helpful when the printers decide to stop working 10 minutes before your paper is due. Basically, bringing your own is just more convenient—that way you don't have to leave your dorm room to get online or print out your papers.
