Off-Campus Dining: I don't eat off campus that often.

Off-Campus Dining: A little hard if you don't have a car but I haven't heard many bad things.

Off-Campus Dining: We have a fairly good amount of off campus dining options. The cost is about the same as anywhere else. However, it is not very convenient because most places require you to have a car to get there. I don't know about some places but I know IHOP has student discounts on Wednesdays. Students get half off when they dine in (but all you really have to do is sit at the table, order, and ask for a to go box). We have about 3 McDonalds, Wendy's, Dairy Queen, Bob's Burgers, an Ethiopian cuisine place, Kline's, 2 Taco Bells, Qdoba, Sweet Frog, Chik Fil A, Chipotle, Sheetz, and more!!

Off-Campus Dining: I've only been off campus a few times but Clementine's has a really cool vibe and great food and I've only heard good things about the other off campus food. There's also all the chains like chipotle and panera.

Off-Campus Dining: There is a wide variety of off-campus dining locations in the surrounding area. A lot of them are national chains, but many are still considered to be good food despite being national chains. For example, there is a Texas Roadhouse, an Outback Steakhouse, a Chipotle, and a Buffalo Wild Wings, just to name a few. This is not to say that there are not some really good local restaurants in the area, such as Jack Brown's in downtown Harrisonburg. There are also a good amount of restaurants that do deliveries, which is very helpful when living in a dorm without a car.

Off-campus dining includes a wide array of steakhouse restaurants, grab-and-go, and the staple Chipotle or Panera Bread. Plus, though on-campus food is renowned, a little change of pace might just be as tempting. Sit-down restaurants are aplenty at JMU, providing students a venue to go out on a Friday night. Buffalo Wild Wings is an especially hot spot for JMU kids with its affordability and weekly karaoke nights. It's here where you'll truly get a taste of the Harrisonburg folk. With JMU's rather sheltered atmosphere, students are eager to get a glimpse of something outside of the bubble.

For those wishing to take their significant others on dates, Harrisonburg does seem to be blessed with some rather cozy hot spots, such as Earth & Tea Café. If you have a persistant sweet tooth, Sweet Bee and Kline's hits the spot. If you go with delivery, Jimmy John's and Campus Cookies come right to your dorm. For those relentless study-till-you-drop nights, Campus Cookies come with warm cookies, milk, a sure-fire way to give you that late night boost. In the mood for some finer dining? You’ll find a culinary explosion of food in D.C., just about two hours away. Unfortunately, most restaurants don't give very large student discounts which could run up your bank account quickly.  Sample these restaruants sparingly, and each night will seem a new, romantic culinary delight.
