5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is very good! I like going to JSU. There are plenty of activities to do.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: J'ville isn't that bustling. Sure, it's on a major highway (AL 204), but there is not much to do around here, especially at nights. The views are pretty at times though, especially from the top floor of the TWELVE-STORY campus library.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The cost of living in Jacksonville isn't very much, but that's because there's not a lot outside of the university going on. The scenery is great being in the foothills of the Appalachians. There are other nearby school, but JSU has a 'little brother' type vibe compared to Alabama and Auburn and most students take pride in not associating with those schools much to honor JSU better.

2 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The town where the school is located doesn't want the school to become bigger and there isn't a lot of stuff to do in the town anyways so the students usually just go home on the weekends.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Jacksonville State University is the friendliest campus I have ever been too. It is in a small town with not much to do. The teachers are very easy to contact and talk too.
