Overall Experience: Every teacher is different. I feel most of the teachers do care about there students and their education. However, there are some teachers that do not seem to care as much. Overall I feel good about the learning environment and also the class size is ok, students are encouraged to ask questions.

Overall Experience: They have some good recruiters here at the school. They have a career center that really loves working with students to get them started on their career paths after graduation.

Facilities: Computer labs have plenty of seating for students. High speed internet, clean environments. There are many different hangout areas on campus, especially the plaza.

Off-Campus Dining: Late at night when everything on campus is closed there are restaurants within walking and driving distance. There's a Wendy's and mcdonalds nearby which are the cheapest places that most people go to. There are other places as well but I haven't come upon many places that give student discounts.

Campus Dining: Dining hall closes a little early than I would like. However we have chick fila, subway, Pizza Hut and some other options to choose from as well.

Campus Housing: I loved staying on campus. I stayed there all three years while I attended school. Its within walking distance to all my classes, when I oversleep I can still make it to my classes on time, don't have to worry about finding a park. There are so many good things about it.

Guys & Girls: A person should not be judged by their choice of dress attire. Everyone has his or her own style.

Health & Safety: Things will happen and a few things may have happened as far as students getting their wallet stolen, cellphone, bookbag. The campus police can't be everywhere at once but they do a good job at what they do.

Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Jackson is the home of many, and the future home of many to come. Prospective students always want to know: Why choose JSU? Choosing Jackson State is one of the best choices a student can make in his or her life. Many people are quick to judge this University because of its HBCU title. Once you're here, though, you receive a reward that will be remembered. Every school has it down sides, some more than others, but this does not characterize the University's ability and what it can do for you.

Students at JSU strive to raise the standards and live above the stereotype set out for JSU. They show love for their school through sports, academics, and community service. Attending JSU teaches you to respect others and use common sense. If you did not know who you were before entering, you will know upon graduation.

The professors are very encouraging, and they care about their students. The knowledge they instill in one is different but comprehension. Many professors have personal relationships with their students, and it makes the college ride a smooth sailor. You will meet people from all over and establish a long lasting relationship. This is the best part about attending Jackson State.
