Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid has so many extra steps and they make it so much more difficult than it should be. I take only online classes and a few of my teachers have been nonexistent and have not been there to answer questions or even respond to emails. Those classes I feel like I don't get my moneys worth because I am pay the teachers to actually do their job not just assign work. Other than that I feel Ivy Tech has fulfilled my school needs. Tips for getting financial aid at my school would be start the process as early as possible and avoid talking to the actual financial aid people, do it online.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My situation is a little different I get a lot of help from the V.A. because of my prior military service. The school seems en expensive I thing the everyday costs of trying to be an adult and go to school at the same time are the major financial stresors

Tuition & Financial Aid: Ivy Tech has some issues with financial aid process because even if someone submits things on time or fax them mandatory information like taxes, the school still asks for more verification. When I was going through the process some of the financial aid representatives had no idea about how to help me.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid process has been easy for me. I fill out my FAFSA each year and I am done. However, had I known I could not get the information I needed to take the correct classes I would have paid more at another institution. I don't want to waste money and time on the wrong classes. I have not had to contact the financial aid office but if they are anything like the rest of the staff it wouldn't do any good to contact them anyway.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition costs are much less than a student would pay at another institution. Financial aid is available and may include federal and state grants. I've had no problems in applying for financial aide, but I would recommend that students apply early and keep track of deadlines. The deadlines for FASFA is usually several months before school begins. It is wise to plan ahead.

Applying for financial aid is a lot easier than most might think. Students just fill out their FAFSA, and it is automatically sent to Ivy Tech. In a few days, the information shows up in the office's system, and in a couple weeks, students' money for financial aid shows up in their accounts.

Ivy Tech does a great job of keeping students informed about what is going on with financial aid and teaching them how to use it. The office gives students warnings about deadlines and tells them how to sign up for financial aid. The tuition at Ivy Tech is low, a lot less than other colleges, and the online payment process is easy.
