Academic Experience: I am an Electrical Engineering major and I have been the only female in ALL of my classes for 2 quarters now. It's just not something that women usually pursue as a career. Aside from that, the curriculum is fine, but the time spent on the details of it is too little, some of us need to repetitively practice new things to understand them. And it would be better if some classes were PRE-requisites instead of CO-requisites, as some things should be learned first to better understand the next, not learned at the same time.

Facilities: I do not know enough about what other schools have to offer to make a comparison.

Overall Experience: I love that my class schedule gives me time to put in a 40 hour work week during the day time if I wanted, I don't feel overloaded, I only have 3 classes a week. My teachers are experts and know what they are talking about, plus they have personality and make it interesting. They are available by phone or email when I have a question. I have an adviser who checks in with me regularly and sees if I need help with anything, she also helped me through the entire financial aid and enrollment process. My classes are really low pressure environments. The only thing lacking is a matter of personal opinion, and that is I feel like they sometimes are cramming a whole lot of info into us in a very short period of time, and I feel that they are skimming over very important base items that we should spend more time on to heighten our understanding.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office was great to work with, it went so much quicker and easier than I'd imagined it would, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was disappointed to hear that the school would be taking 100% of my PELL grant, student loan, and scholarship for tuition, leaving me with nothing for living expenses.

Student Body: Because we are a tech school and there are no entrance exams you get a lot of people you wouldn't find at a University. There are more people with questionable backgrounds who are trying to better their lives. The ones who are serious make it to the 2nd quarter, and the ones who enrolled on a whim of self-empowerment usually get dropped in the first quarter when they realize they still don't have the motivation and determination to be successful.

Campus Resources: School is open even when classes aren't in session, with access to labs, library, and computers. The librarian knows what she's doing and we have access to free tutors who know our specific problem sets and are very helpful and patient. The student lounge needs a coffee machine badly since we have night classes and the majority of the students work all day then spend evenings in school until 10 or 11 pm. It would be nice if they offered free bus passes instead of only discounted passes.

Campus Resources: the computer is slow upon first logging in, but after that it's good. The wifi seems to be an ongoing problem, no one knows how to get on, and the school doesn't bother to let the student body as a whole know what the trick is. You have to search out the IT guy and personally get him to explain it to you. They should really put out a memo or something.

College Junior

Online Courses: There are no online courses offered in my line of study

College Junior

Career Services: I have not yet used career services provided by my school

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: During my enrollment I have met great teachers that were interested in my education, and my career. If I had a question they were there to help. Each teacher has supplied their phone number and email address incase there were any questions outside of class. I have learned so much and want to keep learning, and ITT has been a BIG help!

2 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I never got a chance to change my class times to the days. I was just scheduled, and told that the morning classes were no longer available.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: The AAS degree I graduated with was talked up as a great degree, but when I started looking around for work it was almost worthless. This school is not accepted yet as an accredited university, and therefore most places do not see the degree as having any merit.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: small classes more one on one with the instructor and time to discuss

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: the network is the best in the area im able to get right on the network without a problem when i was just doing a tour of campus i was able to connect easily

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: the schools all about getting an education not focused on athletic centers or athletes in which i believe dollars are wasted.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: We have a wide variety of classes and teachers that can inform the students on knowledge not found in textbooks. I had a Materials and Processing class where we did expirements almost every other week. I got inspired from listening to my teachers, most of them you can tell they want to inspire students.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have had no problems with my schedule here, they are pretty good to work with.

4 College Junior

Student Body: The level of diversity here is pretty big, but discrimination is virtually close to zero. There's a wide range of age from recent high school graduates to someone with grandkids. The various ethnicities and personalitys you meet are very interesting, I could say I'm always learning something from my fellow students.

5 College Junior

Career Services: At ITT Tech I don't feel like just a number, the faculty here do an amazing job helping you succeed. Whether you need help finding a job or spicing up your resume they are more than happy to help.

Campus Resources: Secure Network – There are many computer classes offered there. They have a very secure network however, if I bring my own laptop I have to go to grat lengths to get a password so that I can access the wireless internet. If I have an assignment that I want to work on at school. I usually just email it to myself and access it from one of the lab computers. Its not a big deal but can ne a nuisance sometimes.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Major Selections – They offer a Project Management program which I have only been able to find online. They are the only local school that offers this specific program

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Plentiful Resources – The campus has several labs to work in. Many needed software programs are available and they use the most recent Operating Systems. They also have a Virtual Library which is a great rescource for finding reliable information and research. There is no athletic center but they still have an occasional campus activity.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Online Classes Are Not Good. No flexibility with classes as most are only available once a week. Online classes don't help because they are too hard.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Very Small and Tight Quarters. I like how small the campus is because it makes it very easy to find my classes and get to them quickly.
