3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Bars close at 1 am, so that sucks. But the house parties can be awesome beforehand.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Finanially, Ithaca is a hard school to attend. But their are numerous scholarships available, even if you are not a minority.

Health & Safety: Sometimes, campus safety seems to go out of their way to give tickets.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: You will meet people from all over the country and the world.

College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drugs are very much accessible, but that doesn't mean it is not safe. I haven't heard or seen anyone getting in or causing trouble with the drugs. Perhaps the drugs are used responsibly, for it has not been dangerous on this campus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Im sure there is better, but I know there is a lot worse elsewhere.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Average to say the least.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: If you are a Park School student, you can't get a much better communications school. Professors are amazing to go along with the classes.

Transportation: for a college town i saw transportation is pretty good!

2 College Freshman

Athletics: i'm a big fan of basketball and football. i'm a San Antonio Texas girl! what do expect. but unfortunately the sports are weak and boring.

5 College Freshman

Majors: Love the Park School. students who are not apart of the park school want to join. it just has a whole different inviting atmosphere to the class rooms.

4 College Freshman

Majors: The Teachers help you find internships that really help you see the work industry side

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: the fact that the school is so expensive is a real struggle but almost everyone receives some sort of financial aid

5 College Freshman

Academics: I love being apart of the park school. the professors are the best of the best and they all believe in us and only want to see us do our best. and the fact that i'm able to take out equipment as a freshman is awesome!!!

3 College Freshman

Computers: the wireless internet is good. but it does have it glitches at time. but whats technology without its glitches

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: i only had to call them once and they got the job done.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: being from to opposite side of the country its just hard to get home. plain and simple. but taking a bus into NYC transferring to a shuttle and getting to the airport is worth it to come here

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: there is ALWAYS something to do. see a concert, hang with friends, bar hop, go to cornell, night hike, etc

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: IC wants you to come. They gave me generous FA and I even applied for more and got it. This school is extremely expensive so I am still looking for ways to pay for the rest but they helped alot

College Freshman

Greek Life: no greek life. we got cornell for the parties we really don't need it here

5 College Freshman

Academics: best professors, interesting classes, hands on from the begginign

3 College Freshman

Athletics: the gym is great. it's free and IC students are ranked 14th fittest in the country so health is important here. but as for sport support no one really cares. except for Cortaca -everyone cares then.

When students are asked to evaluate their overall experience at IC, they often look at the lessons they learned both inside and outside of the classroom. Students who go beyond the social aspect of college and get involved end up both gaining the most experience and having the most fun. Many students love IC because of its size. Sometimes, it’s hard to walk anywhere on campus without bumping into someone you know. With such dreadfully cold winters, the academic programs and well-organized student groups are the main reasons students come back every year. Also, the great size allows students to connect with other students in their majors and their professors/advisers, as well.

Like many things in life, students’ experiences with IC are simply what they make of them. If you sit in your dorm room for four years, you will be miserable. If you experience the life Ithaca has to offer and go outside of your comfort zone, you most likely won’t regret your decision to attend IC. The school’s high retention rate proves this. IC offers a great mix of academics and everything else college life should offer—friends, fun, professional opportunities, active campus life, and a time to learn and grow.
