Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

A consensus among students is that campus strictness is not rough. The strictness you experience will depend on which RA you have. Some are very snoopy and controlling, while others ignore almost everything. Even if you have a strict RA, if you are smart with what you are doing, you will most likely not get caught. If you end up getting in trouble, you either get a warning or get written up to talk with Residential Life. Campus Security is mainly around to keep the students safe. They are not looking to snoop through bags or question students about what they are doing. The only time you will get in trouble with them is if you are doing something blatantly obvious in plain sight or you are asking for it by causing trouble.

Many of the rules and policies for alcohol and dorm visitation are fair. If students are over 21, they can drink in the dorms, and students can have guests stay overnight in the dorms, too. A student just has to show ID and sign in the guest at the front desk before that night. Students, however, can get around these rules if they are sneaky enough and play it cool.
