Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The best part of going to Iona is the small community you become a part of. There are so many benefits for students, due to the school's size and location. The small classroom sizes provide students with the opportunities to engage themselves in the classroom on a daily basis. Along with the chance to share personal thoughts in the classroom, students truly appreciate the professors they have had. What makes the professors so meaningful to them is the fact they actually know them by name and they truly believe in their immediate future upon graduating. Many students would choose to go to Iona again if they had a chance to do it over. This is not to say your four years as a Gael will be easy, as you are guaranteed to face many challenges of all sizes, but what makes Iona so special is the community that is there to support you.

If you are thinking about coming to Iona, be sure to be ready to do big things. Although the community and location are ideal, you will have to work. The opportunity for growth through student organizations on campus and the fact that New York City is nearby helps graduating students as they look to move on after college. Your experience at Iona is really judged by how willing you are to do your part. Iona may be the perfect fit for you if you do not want to feel out of place at a big school and are looking to improve or even challenge yourself as an individual.
