Overall Experience: I just love the community at Inver Hills. I've gotten to know a lot of my fellow students in class, which has led to friendships outside of class and those connections are important to me. Everyone I've encountered, from faculty to peers has made me feel welcome and loved. I will graduate completely satisfied with my experience at Inver Hills Community College.

Tuition & Financial Aid: As a community college, Inver Hills is able to offer university level courses without university level fees. I would highly recommend getting your Associates degree here before continuing to a university, it will save you lots of money!

Online Courses: One unique feature Inver Hills has is the option of "hybrid" classes that are mostly online, but there is still some reduced classroom time. This is a great introduction to online learning.

Campus Resources: The campus resources are very broad, everything from an activity center with a large gym to a library building and many different clubs and organizations. There are athletic intramural sports as well as classes. No matter what your interests may be, Inver Hills most likely has a resource just for you!

Academic Experience: Although I'm only taking my generals, as a future English major I must say that the English professors are amazing and really encouraged me in my writing. Their classes have helped to solidify my desire to dedicate my life to the written word.

Academic Experience: The academics at Inver Hills are truly amazing. Professors really want to help, and there are peer tutors to help outside of class to enhance understanding. The curriculum is both fun and educational, and I've found that the online portion of most classes (using D2L) is simple and engaging.

Career Services: As mentioned, the center for experiential learning will expand career services, including forming partnerships with local companies who are looking for employers with certain qualifications.

Student Body: For a suburban school, Inver Hills is very diverse. I've met and formed friendships with people from very different ethnic backgrounds and cultures which has really expanded my worldview. Understanding how people different from me view life is an experience I will value forever because it fosters an environment of cooperation and understanding.

Academic Flexibility: I'd say that Inver Hills is definitely convenient; the location is near my home, and the small campus means it's easy to travel from one building to the next. Many classes are offered at different times so that you can choose the one that works best with your schedule, including night classes and completely online courses.

Overall Experience: Inver Hills provides a friendly and safe atmosphere on a beautiful campus. The small class sizes lead to fascinating discussions and I've loved every professor I've had thus far; you can really tell that they care.

Overall Experience: I'd say that these opportunities are already present. However, they are about to be expanded through the new center for experiential learning that is currently being developed. This center will help students with internships and job recruitment after graduation, as well as service learning projects.

Overall Experience: Affordable and very accessible. I love that it was literally like 12 minutes from my house! Never had problems with any students, felt safe. Never had problems with professors, they are very helpful and wonderful. Never got lost of campus, it's a nice size! I got to live with my parents still, and saved a lot of money by going here!

Campus Resources: The students have an adequate athletic center, where they may rent camping gear for a low cost! Also, our mini-gym is wonderful to go work out or lift weights. The Inver library got updated a couple of months ago and it is awesome! We have extremely quiet "study rooms" for individuals. We also have study rooms for groups of kids who want to study or work on projects! It's pretty high tech and stylish.

Campus Resources: I'd say it's alright. Sometimes, there may a couple of 'printer problems' but usually those are fixed within a number of minutes.

Career Services: I actually didn't really look into this. But I'm sure Inver's counselors have resources to help direct students after completing general classes.

Student Body: I think many students come to class and go home right after. I think on average it's a "come and leave" type of thing. This may occur because Inver doesn't offer housing so students don't just typically hang out on campus. They go home. But we do have some clubs that people go to. But I think only a small percentage are involved.

Academic Flexibility: It was very easy to transfer all of my credits to a private college. The application to fill out is free, and the process is pretty simple.

Academic Experience: I absolutely love how easy it is to transfer all of your credits to another school. Not only is it affordable to go to school here, it pays off in the end! It's pretty convenient too -- depending on where you live, and the kind of school you like. I like that it is kind of small, which means students and teachers can connect and it's in a more personal setting. I also enjoyed being able to set up a schedule that perfectly works for me. If you sign up at a reasonable time, (not too late), then you can arrange a schedule that works just right for you! Once I picked a schedule that had classes only tuesdays and thursdays. I went fulltime, but I loved having all of the other days off. You get to pick what works for you -- even night classes!

Academic Experience: There is a variety of classes one can take, and a good amount of programs available. Professors are typically friendly, and they care about your academic success. They are easy to reach, and are usually very open to meet outside of class with you if you need extra help.

Facilities: One of the unique things about Inver is our garden. Students, faculty, or even people that live in the area, may reserve their own garden spot to grow food. Also, certain food we grow goes towards the mobile pantry -- which is accessible to any student on campus, regardless of need. The mobile pantry is a nice way to feed students that may be hungry, and it comes around once a week and has healthy options.

Online Courses: I took a couple of online classes and I think they're fine. I think they are geared to more high-achieving, motivated students because of how writing-intensive they are. You have to participate in daily discussions, and there's usually at least one quiz and a homework a week without fail. But I recommend it, if you live far from campus and this is alternative. Also, if you are self-motivated and don't need reminders from teachers about your upcoming assignments.

Academic Flexibility: I haven't had too much trouble with any inconveniences.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: I'm not sure I really have a exact picture of what a "normal" student looks like. I think that people and teachers at Inver are genuinly accepting and respectful of everyone's views and ideas on things.

Online Courses: I've had great experiences with my online classes and loved my teachers. I never felt like I didn't have enough instruction and everything the expectations and assignment due dates were very clearly stated.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: The people who go there are genuinly nice and all seem to care a lot about school.
